My gawd I am so sick and tired of seeing "Eddie/smoking" threads. Get a life people. Stop dissecting this shit. We are really not in a good place as a fan base if we keep creating and discussing this invasive shit. That fact that someone took the time and thought to come up with a cockemamy idea that Ed somehow puts conscious effort into where or not to smoke on stage is ridiculous. If that is all you have to pay attention to while at a PJ concert, you've got issues!!
Who gives a shit???
And anyone who says "I thought he quit smoking," besides the invasive speculation on this board, where do you get your information?
I chose not to post when I first saw this thread, but you my friend posted exactly what I was thinking earlier.

I feel dumb even asking for an autograph. I have one, but Mike was basically handing them out.
The guys mean a lot to me as much as the next guy/girl, but if I were famous, I wouldn't want people bugging me all the time.
do unto others right?
Hey you!
i dont know if I feel dumb or I'm just very shy, I've attended a few PJ shows throughout my life and many times I've thought this time Ima find my way to at least close to the bus or something to get an autograph but then when the day comes I feel like an idiot for even thinking about it and never do, I think I would feel completely weirded out I would probably not know what to say either and it would be totally embarrassing... nevermind the fact that he is 5'6 and I'm 5'11 just that would be wierd - LOL :D

What about hockey players and other sports guys? They spit...you gotta do something with all that saliva...it's not like he's hoarking up oysters and leaving them on the sidewalk...all green and yellowish...
speaking of which, have you ever been on a public sidewalk? People spit all the time (and yes, it's gross), but in the context of a concert or a sporting event...SPIT HAPPENS!!
And he's not like Ian Astbury and Shannon Hoon - who both urinated on their audience when they played Vancouver...no front row for me in Vancouver - EVER!

I'm sorry animal, let's talk about something important like winter beer or spiders! I asked an honest question about something a guy clearly chose not to do on stage for 12 years and then recently started to. Opposing viewpoints are fine but you need to stick to decaf if you get that worked up over an simple question.

Sounds about right..!!
There's a constant ringing in my ears
Sense of humor's void and numb
And I'm bored to tears.......
