Are there any videos of the band going wild, like recent?
No, because they are all 18 years older. If you expect them, or anyone to act the same way from 18 years prior, your an idiot.

Other than that i seems like you are just trying to provoke an argument over nothing.

Well unlike Pearl Jam, Dokken rules as much now as they ever did.
Do you remember Rock & Roll Radio?

It blows me away that anyone can listen to this year's boots and say they're playing at the same level as even 2003 or 2006, there's no explanation other than blind ignorance. 2008 should've been called The Emperor's New Clothes Tour...[/quote]

Not to be picky but I happened to be listening to State College boot in 03 and Ed screwed up lyrics to numerous songs, mostly ones that hadn't been played in years (Satan's bed) He actually dared to crowd to leave. I think it just shows that they're human and will never have a completely perfect show from beginning to end. how many times over the years has he screwed up wishlist? It makes each show special. I was at Mansfield 1 this year and I thought it was unbelievable. They are like fine wine, only getting better with age!
He who forgets will be destined to remember.

I've definitely noticed it - it's certainly their sloppiest tour ever.

Too bad it was just a short tour, the tour was over as soon as they were starting to sound a little better.

I didn't think much of the first US leg in 2006 either but they improved greatly by the West Coast shows, it's hard to know if it would've been the same this time around though.

The root of the problem is that nobody seems to notice if they completely screw up or not and they know it, so what's their motivation to rehearse?

Maybe I got lucky b/c Hartford 08 was near the end...but it was 90 degree heat with 95% humidity, the guys played 28 songs, and Ed was running/jumping around like an animal. I've listened to my boot for the last five days non-stop. They don't sound rusty/sloppy to me? When we left that show, we were blown away. I totally disagree with this thread.
