Thank you thank you THANK YOU 10c for giving us the best seats ever – 2nd row centre. That allowed us to be close enough for Brian to be pulled on stage to sing a song! That was the most amazingly cool thing that has ever happened in the entire history of cool things happening. Everyone sitting around us were so fantastic and such wonderful fans, it made the concert that much better. PJ has been our favorite band years, and now we have a VIDEO of Brian performing with them!! Not only is Pearl Jam an absolutely amazing talent, but they show such grace to their fans. I seriously can’t believe that really actually happened. Just be pleased to know it happened to a guy who really, really, REALLY gets how big of a deal that was and is so very appreciative of the experience. And now his students think he is pretty much the coolest teacher in all the whole world, so that’s pretty awesome too.

Running Back to Saskatoon, It's 1 more time around...:
Here is an online / audio interview with Brian on CBC, the hero who saved the song I most wanted to see this tour (also the video of the performance). He's an instant celebrity and putting Pearl Jam on the evening newscasts, too. http://www.cbc.ca/news/arts/story/2011/ ... enson.html
So glad the boys went for it again after surprising us in '06 with the first attempt. Now I owe them all some saskatoon berry pie, Brian and his wife too.
My God...what a setlist - cannot friggin' wait for the offical boot. I love this band.
* Camden, NJ - Tweeter Center at the Waterfront - May 28, 2006
* Camden, NJ - Susquehanna Bank Center - Jun 20, 2008
* Philadelphia, PA - Wachovia Spectrum Arena - Oct 28, 2009
* New York, NY - Madison Square Garden - May 21, 2010
My first time seeing Pearl Jam, and the band did not disappoint, except that they cut Runnin' Back To Saskatoon right before the best part of the song BOTH TIMES (This tune is home grown/Don't come from Hong Kong). I could only laugh though and applaud the valiant effort put forth by the band to do the song justice. No other band would've dared try that. Maybe next time they can play Johnny Cash's Girl From Saskatoon for us.
Oh, and Mudhoney were nothing short of amazing as the opening act. My friend remarked that their sound was unbelievable (especially for that venue). Pearl Jam's performance has proved itself with massive staying power in my mind (heck, I joined the Ten Club, right?), but at the time...in the moment...Mudhoney may have stolen the show. And what more can one ask from an opener?
