They did play In The Moonlight, right before Black. Show was great. Ed's voice was a little scratchy when he spoke, but show rocked!
Ed's obviously sick....he took a drink of his wine when they first came on stage and then didn't touch it again until the last encore. He was drinking out of a mug the entire night, most likely tea or hot lemon water or something....he had it refilled several times. And was blowing his nose on stage..... Poor guy, he was a trooper and did a hell of a great job considering!!!
Sick ?!?! Get your rest today Ed,..need you in Calgary and Edmonton !
Has a fan ever come to stage to sing/play before?? That's everybody's wet dream i think.

Ed had a guy come up and sing Lukin. Not a bad job either
In Düsseldorf 2007 he pulled someone with a Ramones shirt up on stage to let him sing I believe in miracles. The guy refused to sing it though and was just rocking out to it on stage instead.

These set lists when they're not supporting any album in particular are interesting.
I was thinking maybe they would do a version of "Santa Cruz," except substituting "Saskatoon" for "Santa Cruz," but I suppose the Guess Who song makes more sense.
apparently Brian will be on CBC Radio One in Saskatchewan at 5:10 this afternoon, on The Afternoon Edition.

I'm so freakin jealous I've missed the festival, and all the Canadian set lists have all looked stellar so far! Give me repeats all day long as long as it's PJ. Staring to jones for an USA tour. Just need some time to fill the coffers.
It was a fantastic concert. Nice shout out to the wives of the band. The playing of Just Breathe and Unthought Known was special, as these were two songs I had on my wedding playlist when I married my wife in 2010. She was with me at the show. As an aside, she is not a big rock concert fan (I drag to a show now and then), and even she was nodding her head when the show picked up in intensity. That's as clear a sign as she has given that she was having a good time!
I loved the concert. Having been at their first show in Saskatoon 6 years ago, it was great to hear PJ tackle Running Back to Saskatoon again. To quote Eddie,"I fucked it up last time because I had too much to drink. I fucked it up this time because I didn't drink enough!" And later after the Fixer,"I'd really love to fix that damn Saskatoon song." And they did. Fun night all around. I hope they come back soon.
I bet you this Brian can't wait for the boot for this show. How awesome would it be to sing with the band? Picks and setlists are one thing; this is on a completely different level.
I like the setlist up until the encore where it falls a bit flat. I think I'd be a bit disappointed with the encore given how out there the actual setlist was. Still, every Pearl Jam show is an event and this one looked to be good. The apparent absence of fanclub members is an added bonus. Hearing about people with fanclub numbers in the 200 and 300 thousands sitting in the first ten rows is crazy! It must have an been amazing experience for those members.

My husband and I started our 4 show western tour here last night. We knew we'd have good seats (150xxx), but even better with winning the lottery, row 2 right in front of Ed. Being this close feels like an intimate small club, where you can see and hear every nuance of what's happening on stage. They played so many of my favourites, it's hard to say what I loved best about the show. Definitley loved Running Back to Saskatoon x2. Mainly seeing the Eddie's face as he's fully screwing up the song. Brian was in our row and I loved that he got to experience the stage. This band continues to amaze me, and I am so grateful they blessed Canada with another full tour. On to Calgary!
My first show of this tour of three. The first set was fantastic and the band was very tight. My first in-person In My Tree and it did not disappoint. Nice to hear guest-free versions of Red Mosquito and In The Moonlight, and I was impressed by the Saskatoon crowds' ability to get into a song that almost no one knew (or at the very least the folks around me ... I think one other guy knew the song). The first encore was a crowd pleaser, I don't care for the particular song selection all that much but having finally heard it in person, Unthought Known is a live powerhouse and they obviously enjoy playing it. Solid B+ show, would have earned an A- but the encore needed something extra to break up the predictable run of Just Breathe, Unthought, Better Man ... Running Back to Saskatoon was butchered but a blast, my buddy wondered if they'd try it again this time, I said no and turns out he was right.
Calgary on Wednesday. My buddy really, really wants to hear Umemployable, if any band members read this, please help a brother out.
This was definitely my best experience at a PJ show to date. My tickets were row 6, but my friend won the lottery, so we ended up front row centre. The lottery of lotteries. It was incredible.
I was wearing a New York Dolls shirt, and Mike told me two times that he liked it, so before the second encore, I decided to take it off and throw it to him (I had another shirt to put on). He was super appreciative and gave me a handful of picks right away. Then at the end of the show he signed his setlist and handed it to me. There's a picture of it in this thread. I still can't process the fact that happened.
All that, plus an amazing set. In My Tree was definitely a highlight for me, and I hadn't seen the band play Baba since Seattle in 2000.
Fantastic night. Thanks to the band for being the coolest f**king guys in the world.

Loved it loved it loved it! Great set...gotta love the smaller venues on the prairies :-) nice to be surrounded by fans from all over. Have a blast in Alberta & BC
Just got home to Calgary from Saskatoon and all I can say is that the show was outstanding!!!
A 10c number of 328xxx got me row 7 dead center. I was blown away! My brother and his wife have number 410xxx and ended up row 8 Stones side. Never in my life did I think I would ever be that close. I'm still just in utter disbelief. It was one of the most fun shows I've ever been to. The band looked like they were having a great time. Lots of smiles and laughing going on on stage. Excellent crowd too! From now on I will always make the trek to Saskatoon for a PJ show. Got to meet a lot of great people and I'm looking forward to doing all again tomorrow for my hometown show. Feel better Ed.
Thanks to Mr. and Mrs. guitar59 and my buddy Rich. That was so much fun!
Amazing show. Amazing Day. Flaying frisbee along the river early in the day when Mike ran by us. My buddy tossed him the frisbee and then he tossed it back to me. We didn't want to bug him to much so we didn't hold him up and he continued his run. About 10 mins later, we saw a group of people jogging down the road and sure it enough, Mike was in front of them filming a video for Twitter. They all stopped right by us and were chatting and taking pictures, so we walked over, waited patiently, and Mike had no issue taking a picture with us. So cool, and so nice. Just a class act to put that much time in for his fans.
Anyways, the show was fantastic. 7th row center was a nice treat for us. Such energy right from the start. My highlight song from the night was by far Untitled. One of my favorites and I never thought I would see it live. In my Tree is always a nice treat, as is Dissident. This topped Winnipeg for me for sure. Also, during Baba, I was watching Mike shred, then looked at Ed and saw him pointing at me then motioning to my shirt (Soundgarden) while giving me a head nod of approval. . Pretty cool moment. Pumped for my hometown show in Calgary tomorrow!
Great show, great crowd! First time I really just rocked the fuck out at a concert and it was so much fun!! Thanks 10C for the seats. I hope I win the front row lottery some day but 11th row centre ain't too shabby!
Can't wait till Edmonton (especially after seeing the PJ20 movie tonight!).
p.s was that you "pants-guy", who I met after the Winnipeg show when I commented on the tambourine you'd caught, in the PJ20 movie at the end when fans were shown talking about the band?

Awesome show!! Definately one of my favorite shows, if not the best.
I want to thank the guy that got Ed's bottle of wine at the end of the show. I went to the Shark Club after the concert, and I am waiting for a drink at the bar. I look to my right and I see a guy with two of his friends drinking from a bottle of wine. I learn over and ask the guys "is that THE bottle of wine?" ... sure enough it was the bottle Ed had just given these guys. Then one of the guys offers me a drink...and of course I had a drink. I can't remember the name of the wine, just that it was 2003. Thanks for sharing, it topped off an awesome night!!
Thank you thank you THANK YOU 10c for giving us the best seats ever – 2nd row centre. That allowed us to be close enough for Brian to be pulled on stage to sing a song! That was the most amazingly cool thing that has ever happened in the entire history of cool things happening. Everyone sitting around us were so fantastic and such wonderful fans, it made the concert that much better. PJ has been our favorite band years, and now we have a VIDEO of Brian performing with them!! Not only is Pearl Jam an absolutely amazing talent, but they show such grace to their fans. I seriously can’t believe that really actually happened. Just be pleased to know it happened to a guy who really, really, REALLY gets how big of a deal that was and is so very appreciative of the experience. And now his students think he is pretty much the coolest teacher in all the whole world, so that’s pretty awesome too.
