The gov says one thing, others say something else....

On a night out (3 hours approx), what is the amount of alcohol you could consume that would be considered "drinking in moderation"... which would mean getting buzzed, staying in complete control, and having zero illeffects the next morning.....

me personally I would say 4 coronas or 3 vodka/clubs......

I haven't been drinking as much as I used to so it only takes about 3 or 4 to get me buzzed.
  • 3-4.

Disturbingly, when I spill red gatorade on my counter it stains almost instantly.

The older I get, the more painful the next day.

Drinking in a 3-4 hour period without being drunk or feeling like crap the next day... 4-5 beers or 2-3 gin and tonics.

Enough to loosen up, but not enough to hamper your speech, thought or balance.

    moderation? what is this?
i first heard and began to learn what the word and definition of moderation meant about 2 years ago.
i am 39. this is a bad sign. but i did learn its meaning and outcomes if that line is crossed, which it was often.

other than that i cannot add anything of a decent balance here as i don't ever remember doing as such.

A drink an hour keeps my buzz going without getting wasted, although I would stop at 5 drinks in 1 night now otherwise I am a write off the next day - not fun having a hang over when the kids wake you up at 6am :x

    +1

But that number may change after this week.

They are getting better - can turn on the TV and play for an hour or so but they are only 6 and 4 so if I leave them alone for too long my house would be turned upside down.

  • 5-6 beers and I'm good the next day. Once it gets past that, it's a different story.

I could probably drink 2 beer an hour for a few hours and be fine... or a bottle of wine over the course of a night.

Liquor, on the other hand, is my nemesis. I haven't had as much luck drinking that the past few years. It seems that it takes just a few drinks and I'm hurting the next day. A) I'm getting old or B) I drank way too much liquor from 18-26 and my body is now rejecting it.
