The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

For the longest time I wanted to be a vet. But then I realized I can't do math or science for shit! ....or deal with sick animals! Which would certainly pose a problem if I did want to become a vet

Accountant (my dad was an accountant....owned his own practice with 50 staff or so....and he always seemed to be doing cool shit and he made good money)....and then I went through a plastic surgeon phase after I saw a cool doco where they sliced along a women's hairline and pulled back her entire scalp....I was totally amazed....and I liked the fact they also earned good money!

I did Commerce at uni....but then decided against being an accountant when I finished my degree. Fuck that. I couldn't think of anything worse. The work is too boring....as are a lot of accountants. So glad I didn't go down that path and decide it wasn't for me when it was too late or I'd wasted 10 years doing it.

LMAO yes!! I DO!! And I wanted to be many things.. the funny thing is.. I remember in High School ( went to a private Christian school through my dad's church) one of my teachers made each of us ( all 3 of us was a smallllllll school) write out what we hoped to accomplish by forty years.. I just looked back at that list a few days ago and realized I have done almost everything on that list but two things!! I still have yet to travel the world, and I have yet to "get married and have kids" but I HAVE written and published something.. poetry and a curriculum for animal husbandry, I was a professional horse trainer for five years til my accident, I Still train for friends and dogs too now, I started my own animal rescue, and I have ridden a horse on the beach.. those were the main things.. so cool to see this thread.. was JUST thinking of how many people can say what I can.. Just two more things to go!! Anyhow wow.. that's kinda cool that this thread came up..

Gosh, difficult to remember them all now, from what I can remember in date order.

    The Bionic Woman
Mother to 8 children (4 boys, 4 girls)
Military Policewoman (wanted a job with a uniform and travel)
Teacher (so I could go and work in the third world)
    Nurse (as above)

To be honest when I was young I really couldn't see that I'd live past 30, I guess I was wrong about that.

Hey you don't know, kind of rightish about some things.

The Bionic Woman - they keep taking bits of me out, they just haven't got round to the bit where they replace them with fantastic gadgets.
    Mother to 8 - 1 boy, 1 female dog
Military policewoman - Sitting here in a uniform, although have no authority whatsoever though, unless telling someone to take their socks off counts. I also get to travel, today I am in Appleby and I get to go to Carlisle on Thursday.
Teacher - as Fire Warden I have to teach new staff about fire safety.
Nurse - well Podiatry Assistant, do woundcare clinics and assist in surgery.

Kinda have got bit's of what I wanted :D
  • I really don't remember :? I remember what everyone told me I should be (doctor)...so I think I thought that's what I wanted to be, but it wasn't  But if I could be anything it would be a photographer for the National Geographic :)

A carpenter, veterinarian, accountant, a good father.

I'm a fairly decent rhyming writer but have nothing published and need to hone my speech style if I want to make them into songs.

oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.
