it's got so much sauce, it could be anything.... but it's pretty convincing. Give it a shot. ...supply your own bun.

  • The best way to make a mcrib at McDonalds is to do the following:

Order a cheeseburger and a small fry. Layer some fries along the meat so it resembles the McRib texture. Cover it in the BBQ sauce. Then close your eyes and take a bite. Tastes and feels just like a McRib.

I love the McRib, but I don't like it with a lot of BBQ sauce. Some is good, but I scrape it off if they load up on the BBQ.

just picked up 20 mcnuggets earlier for 4.99 ;)

Ya know, Subway has one of the better veggie patties available. Just sayin' that because that picture made me think of the veggie patty at Subway.

Good call, dcfaithful! Indeed, they have one made for them by Morningstar. They made it so it's kinda a meat substitute, but you can still see the mushrooms and olives in it. ....and I hate mushrooms and olives, yet I had one yesterday and it was great!

I love olives and am okay on mushrooms... but yes, that veggie patty really rocks. I began eating meat again, but I am picky about it. I only purchase sustainable meat and only eat meat at restaurants that pride themselves on serving the same... so when I go to Subway, I either get the veggie delite, or the patty. Both delicious choices. You don't always need animal meat to have a good meal.

In addition, you mentioned Morningstar, and their Black Bean Burger is actually very tasty.

I didn't know they STILL had this sandwich. I had one years ago and it was the worst thing I ever tasted, I'm so glad I don't eat meat anymore.

They just bust it out from time to time. If it were an all-year item people wouldn't be so crazy about it, but they're so good at marketing it that it keeps the demand high in the limited time they make it available. I remember several years back they had a "farewell tour" for the McRib, and it was going to be the last time they made it available, so naturally people flocked to McDonalds, but sure enough they brought it back the next year.

I like them though. I have no clue what's in them (I'm fairly certain it's not ribs) but I eat it.
