New PJ Symbol

This was probably already covered but what do you think of the new PJ symbol? It took about 2 seconds for me to go WOW!!! that is really cool! I have the hat and red t-shirt from PJ20 with the new symbol. :lol::lol::lol:

    I'm not a fan as you just can't tell what it is easily.
    There's Pearl Jam, The Rolling Stones, Chuck Berry, Robert Johnson......and then everybody else.

    As soon as somebody on here mentioned that it looks more like an rj than PJ then I couldn't see it any other way.

    Every time I'd glance at it or catch it out of my peripheral I'd see a 9 in there. I think it was the negative space between the vertical bars.

    The red banner looks like it's from the 80's tv show "V". Kind of ominous. Strong symbology.

    I think the new symbol is awesome. Simple logos are the best.

    Ominous is an understatement, since "V" was an allegory about Nazism and Fascism, and the aliens' lettering was intended to be evocative of the swastika. So that's what I was thinking at PJ20 every time I looked up at those banners, which was awkward.

    I love it. Funny interpretation of it and all. ha.

    What I didn't like were all the advertising banners all over the venue. They are just what you don't want to see when you're listening to or playing music. :)
