I've known that for a while! people were freaked out that natural red food coloring was made from crushed beetles (http://www.livescience.com/36292-red-food-dye-bugs-cochineal-carmine.html), so Starbucks had to go back to using artificial colorings. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

I knew about the beetles, because my hubby told me this red soda I like probably had them in it but it turned out it was artifically dyed red....lol But yeah the Beaver thing is nasty!!! LMAO!RKCNDY said:PJSiren said:Well, the weekend is just getting started, but I learned this disgusting little tidbit today....

I don't generally like cherry flavored things (when I was a kid all medicine was cherry flavored-yuck) but I love Shirley Temples...used to like cherry 7up, but now it tastes gross. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.
