But I think this was the whole point......it's such a weird combo that everyone is talking about it.
other than this place, who else is talking about it?
This is the only place I've heard about this.
And by the way, WTF is Jack White doing associating himself with these fucking guys?
thank you

My take is he was having fun when he made the record with Stephen Colbert, but this is a bit mind boggling. I mean, ICP is a joke to most of us except their hardcore fans and theirselves. Other than being homeboys from Detroit I can't imagine a logical reason for this collaboration.
Edit: For those of you that don't have a problem with it, what would you say if EV did it? Just curious.

I would love a little respect for Ed as well.

Actually, didn't Ed collaborate with Cpress Hill back in the day, like 93ish? A little off topic, but since were talking about colaborating with rap artist....

Ha ha I was just thinking about that the other day. I forget now just how much involvement PJ had with that song. I just remember Ed singing his trademark "hooooo hoooo" in the background. But Cypress Hill was legit. They weren't a clown act.
again, where and when has jack white been some sort of fugazi-esque character...ever? I fail to see the shock value in someone who has appeared on Conan and Jon Stewarts shows, has written a jingle for Coke, has appeared in mainstream movies, dated and married a model, sang the theme song for one of the most most commercially successful film franchises in history, and collaborated with pop stars including norah jones and alicia keys. During the White Stripes run, they rountinely appeared on tv shows, and award shows, MTV and the like.
The guy is an amazing musician, but i think its a gross misunderstanding of him as an artist and a human being to suggest he's some sort of punk rock "i hate the sellouts" type character. he isnt and has never been.
I think nothing could shock me less in fact, than jack white engaging in another side project. its what he does.
There's no real reason to hate on Jack White for this. Who cares?
Look at all the collaborations Ed has done with numerous, various artists. I'd be lying if I said I liked all of those but it sure doesn't mean I'm gonna hate on Ed or not listen to Pearl Jam anymore. Same thing applies to Jack and his bands. I'm still gonna listen.
this.
Same here - but if any member of PJ EVER does a collaboration with Lady Gaga, Nicki Manaj, or PAramore - that will be IT!

I can take a song or two on the uke but an entire album is hard to sit thru.
