actually a very dear friend of mine(republican and retired) sent this to me he sends me a lot of stuff like this but this is one I thought I'd throw into the TRAIN just to see the response of the die hard Dem's on here,to me this all past history and who said or did what don't matter much anymore it's about repairing the situation we have now.
but yes everybody is always blaming Bush for everything and patting Obama on the ass so when I saw this I thought I would see the reactions of the folks on here and sit back and have a few laughs..no harm intended it's all about truth justis and the American way...:lol:

That's the thing... what it sounds like is political partisanship. You are trying to defend Republicans from Democrats.
The truth is, most people here assign accountability for the ones responsible for the actions that lead to the consequences. All it ever sounds like you are doing is defending Bush, not because of his decisions, but because of his political party affiiation.
And you mistake our holding Bush responsible as supporting President Obama. That is a false pretense. We are holding Bush responsible for the consequences of his decisions and actions... and we hold Prsident Obama responsible for HIS decisions and actions. We are not partisan hacks.
I just think it's one sided on here for the most part, we have posters calling Bush a war monger...? really ???
America was attacked and he asked for war or was told to got war and now he's a war monger ?..that's the kinda crap I disagree with so when I found this in my e-mail box I just laughed my ass off because I read so many posts on here blaming Bush for our economy and poor obama was left with such a mess to clean up..when obama was senater did he call foul or say "hay we're headed for a train reck" ? point is that there is pleanty of blame to go around and this place is Bush hater central so why not have a little fun with it,after all you guy's taught me how to play the game on here

Well, there you go, again... more partisan hackmanship.
Your points... yes, we were attacked. That fact is undisputed. We were attacked by Al Qaeda, NOT IRAQ! Yes, going after Afghanistan/Taliban for harboring Al Qaeda was the right thing to do. Going into Iraq and leaving Afghanistan half-baked and allowed to fester into the lost cause mess it is today was the wrong thing to do.
The economy... I just pointed out that both Houses were under Republican control when Bush issued these warnings... why didn't THEY say, "hay we're headed for a train reck" or do something between 2001 and 2006? Instead, it was allowed to continue until the entire thing almost fell into full collapse.
    ...
We didn't show you 'how to play the game'... you were apparently self taught by only listening to ONE side (your side) and getting all of your information from ONE side (FOX News). You are the only one playing this game... we're not in this game.
Again... assigning RESPONSIBILITY to the RESPONSIBLE party is what I am doing... NOT defending President or Democrats or Liberals... it is holding those RESPONSIBLE, accountable for their actions. Which, I always thought was a cornerstone of Conservative thinking.

this was probably just another one of those fear tactics that the gop are historically so fond of....

Republican reaction to Obama's push for the highway bill was swift, with a spokesman for House Speaker John Boehner accusing the president of using irresponsible scare tactics. ;)

"Aside from the president today, no one has suggested the highway bill will be allowed to expire," Boehner spokesman Brendan Buck said. "Republicans support an extension of the highway bill and appreciate the need for a long-term solution for infrastructure projects."

Here's an opinion piece (TL:DR) by Chuck Green who writes "Greener Pastures" for the Denver Post Aurora Sentinel...one of the more liberal papers in the country. Additionally, Mr. Green is a lifelong Democrat..so this is rather a stunning piece!

Obama is victim of Bush's failed promises!

Barack Obama is setting a record-setting number of records during his first term in office:

Largest budget ever. Largest deficit ever. Largest number of broken promises ever.

Most self-serving speeches ever. Largest number of agenda-setting failures ever. Fastest dive in popularity ever!

    Wow! Talk about change!

Just one year ago, fresh from his inauguration celebrations, President Obama was flying high. After one of the nation's most inspiring political campaigns, the election of America's first black president had captured the hopes and dreams of millions. To his devout followers, it was inconceivable that a year later his administration would be gripped in self-imposed crisis.

Of course, they don't see it as self-imposed. It's all George Bush's fault!

George Bush, who doesn't have a vote in congress and who no longer occupies The White House, is to blame for it all.

He broke Obama's promise, to put all bills on the White House web site for five days before signing them.

He broke Obama's promise, to have the congressional health care negotiations broadcast live on C-SPAN.

He broke Obama's promise, to end earmarks.

He broke Obama's promise, to keep unemployment from rising above 8 percent.

He broke Obama's promise, to close the detention center at Guantanamo in the first year.

He broke Obama's promise, to make peace with direct, no precondition talks with America's most hate-filled enemies during his first year in office, ushering in a new era of global cooperation.

He broke Obama's promise, to end the hiring of former lobbyists into high White House jobs.

He broke Obama's promise, to end no-compete contracts with the government.

He broke Obama's promise, to disclose the names of all attendees at closed White House meetings.

He broke Obama's promise, for a new era of bipartisan cooperation in all matters.

He broke Obama's promise, to have chosen a home church to attend Sunday services with his family by Easter of last year.

Yes, it's all George Bush's fault! President Obama is nothing more than a puppet in the never-ending failed Bush administration.

If only George Bush wasn't still in charge, all of President Obama's problems would be solved. His promises would have been kept, the economy would be back on track, Iran would have stopped its work on developing a nuclear bomb and would be negotiating a peace treaty with Israel. North Korea would have ended its tyrannical regime, and integrity would have been restored to the federal government.

Oh, and did I mention what it would be like, if the Democrats, under the leadership of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid, didn't have the heavy yoke of George Bush around their necks? There would be no ear marks, no closed-door drafting of bills, no increase in deficit spending, no special-interest influence (unions), no vote buying ( Nebraska, Louisiana).

If only George Bush wasn't still in charge, we'd have real change by now.

All the broken promises, all the failed legislation and delay (health care reform, immigration reform) is not President Obama's fault or the fault of the Democrat-controlled Congress. It's all George Bush's fault!

Take for example the decision of Eric Holder, the president's attorney general, to hold terrorists' trials in New York City. Or his decision to try the Christmas Day underpants bomber as a civilian.

    Two disastrous decisions.

Certainly those were bad judgments based on poor advice from George Bush !

    Need more proof?

You might recall that when Scott Brown won the election to the U.S. Senate from Massachusetts, capturing "The Ted Kennedy Seat", President Obama said, Brown's victory was the result of the same voter anger that propelled Obama into office in 2008. People were still angry about George Bush and the policies of the past 10 years. And they wanted change.

Yes, according to the president, the voter rebellion in Massachusetts, was George Bush's fault.

Therefore, in retaliation, they elected a Republican to the Ted Kennedy seat, ending a half-century of domination by Democrats. It is all George Bush's fault!

Will the failed administration of George Bush ever end, and the time for hope and change ever arrive???

Will President Obama ever accept responsibility for something/anything?

I have simplified your message... since these are obviously not your own thoughts... it's easier to let someone else tell us what your thoughts are, right? In this format, it make it easier to see what is on each side of the ledger.
George W. Bush two terms in Office (Jan-2001 to Jan-2009)
Barack Obama first term in office (Jan-2009 to Present):

Largest budget ever. Because of 2 wars, that were begun in 2002 and 2003 as well a a government bailout of Wall Street Financial systems in 2008 and a bailout of General Motors and Chrysler (also in 2008, early 2009). We should also include the growth of the federal government and the cost of Homeland Security and the Patriot Act.
    Largest deficit ever. (See above)
(These 2 we have to put on the Bush side)

Largest number of broken promises ever.
    Most self-serving speeches ever.
Largest number of agenda-setting failures ever.
    Fastest dive in popularity ever!

    Broken Campaign promises:
to put all bills on the White House web site for five days before signing them.
to have the congressional health care negotiations broadcast live on C-SPAN.
    to end earmarks.
to keep unemployment from rising above 8 percent.
to close the detention center at Guantanamo in the first year.
to make peace with direct, no precondition talks with America's most hate-filled enemies during his first year in office, ushering in a new era of global cooperation.
to end the hiring of former lobbyists into high White House jobs.
to end no-compete contracts with the government.
to disclose the names of all attendees at closed White House meetings.
for a new era of bipartisan cooperation in all matters.
to have chosen a home church to attend Sunday services with his family by Easter of last year.

If Campaign promises would have been kept:
the economy would be back on track,
Iran would have stopped its work on developing a nuclear bomb and would be negotiating a peace treaty with Israel.
North Korea would have ended its tyrannical regime,
integrity would have been restored to the federal government.

    Take for example:
The decision of Eric Holder, the president's attorney general, to hold terrorists' trials in New York City.
Or his decision to try the Christmas Day underpants bomber as a civilian.
"Two disastrous decisions." (disasterous? really? These are worse than 2 fucking wars and Wall Street almost going over the cliff?)

And they wanted change.
    ...
So... on the Obama side... we have broken Campaign promises, which should make the opposition happy because it means that things like earmarks continue (as they did under Bush) and Guantanamo still being open for business.
Oh, and he has the most self serving speeches (which would need to be quantified because it sounds like a steaming pile of bullshit unless I see numbers tied to them.
    Summary:
Obama broke campaign promises and talks too much about himself
    vs.
The Bush side, where there are two wars with nation building implications, failure to act while Wall Street and Financial systems did whatever they wanted and almost crashed the entire global economy.

I really HAVE to repeat this:
The decision of Eric Holder, the president's attorney general, to hold terrorists' trials in New York City.
Or his decision to try the Christmas Day underpants bomber as a civilian.
    "Two disastrous decisions."
    ...
    Disasterous? really?

Disaster = hold terrorists' trials in New York City + try the Christmas Day underpants bomber as a civilian
Disaster NOT = Afganistan/Iraq War + Nation Building + letting Wall Street set rules for Wall Street To adhere to
    Really?

Actually, from his own post, you would think this would make Usamamma happy... because Obama broke those promises... promises that would result in more of the same things that went on during the Bush era... right?
to put all bills on the White House web site for five days before signing them.
to have the congressional health care negotiations broadcast live on C-SPAN.
    to end earmarks.
to keep unemployment from rising above 8 percent.

for a new era of bipartisan cooperation in all matters.
to have chosen a home church to attend Sunday services with his family by Easter of last year.
    ...
This means that there are still earmarks, Guantanamo is still open, still no talks with Iran or North Korea, still no global cooperation, still hiring of former lobbyists, still no-bid contracts awarded, still secrecy in White House meetings and STILL partisan divide in the country.
Sounds like Usamamma's political wet dream.

What is the Scare Tactic you are referring to?
    Is it this:
".. potentially a million lost jobs, President Barack Obama urged Congress on Wednesday to pass bills to fund highways and air travel. "
Because, you know... if there is no money for those workers... there is no job for them, right?
    Maybe it was this:
