I'm With You is the tenth studio album by American rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers. The album was released by Warner Bros. Records on August 26, 2011 in several countries and expected to release on August 29 in the US, a day earlier than originally planned.

Produced by Rick Rubin, it is the band's first studio album to feature guitarist Josh Klinghoffer, following the departure of John Frusciante in 2009, and is their first since Stadium Arcadium in 2006, marking the longest gap, to date, between studio albums. The album's first single, "The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie" was released to radio on July 15, 2011, three days earlier than expected due to the single leaking.

Regarding the album, vocalist Anthony Kiedis noted, "there is no question – this is a beginning," with drummer Chad Smith stating, "this is a new band. Same name, but it's a new band.", while Flea stated, "it’s just like a very … meaningful and rejuvenating rebirth for us."

The band's official site held a global listening party on August 22, 2011 where they streamed the entire album. Various radio stations throughout the world began playing tracks on the same date leading up to the album's release. The full album was also made available to stream for free on the iTunes Store.

I'll pick this one up but my expectations are low. Their last one had some good tunes on it though.

I have already downloaded it from Amazon just for 3.99 pounds and I have to admit that it's a good album. I would like to see the live performance tomorrow. I also read some reviews (positives and negatives) and until now I would probably go with the 3 out of 5 stars reviews. I hope that gives you a hint.

Rico - looks like Alderhood is the closest theater playing it. I think I'll skip the show but for sure picking up the album tomorrow. Been a long time for them since Stadium Arcadium. Looking forward to it!

No vinyl for the album? That's disappointing.

I looked up his twitter...didn't see that he tweeted that, unless it was a while ago. Really hoping that it does come out on vinyl. I saw over on the RHCP forum that the iTunes version has better sound mastering than the physical CD version. Torn on which one I should buy. Vinyl would trump, but I'm not waiting two months to buy the album.

This Fuse show is pretty good so far. I love when Flea and the new guitarist rock out- don't care much for Kiedis.

Listening to it now. So far Ethiopia is my favorite and probably still will be after Im done. That song has such a nice groove and nice changes throughout.

edit: I'm also liking their new guitarists little solos. nothing crazy but they're pretty unique.

If they are it's not in order. I don't think they will get to all 14 new songs because they have been playing a lot of older stuff.

i dug the show, good energy and sound. the new dude josh has a cool style, spends alot of time on the ground, fking w/peddles but has good chemistry already, not forced at all imo.

They played the entire new album (minus "Even You Brutus?" I believe) in theaters tonight. I caught that. Loved seeing the new songs live that I didn't see when I went to their 2 shows last week. Only caught a tiny bit of the Fuse broadcast before heading out but the live HD broadcast in theaters was amazing. Really well done.

Setlist from the Roxy (Fuse) show alternated old song/new song. Did you guys see me on the Fuse broadcast?! ;)

they played "Even you, Brutus?" fact.

show was great. Factory of Faith was out of this world. The jam was sick at the end, so funky and fast. I really think after 5 years, that song should have been the lead single to say hello to the world with. Wait till you see it live, I could tell the whole theatre was feelin it. magic.

Flea actually cramped up at one point and needed a break during the show, so chad did a solo. The extra percussionist on stage adds a new layer to the songs. Nice to have him there.

Josh fits in perfectly. Great back up vocals on the song they played twice. His energy is Frusciante-esque up there. He was obviously a fan of his, you can tell. He can play though too.

They had to play one song TWICE from the new album becuase "there was a fuck up and the truck wasnt working, thanks for being patient, it's a funny kind of show"

They played the whole album, played Me and My friends, then played that repeat song, then give it away and that was it.

Anthony sounded actually pretty great. Some of the songs on the new album are slower and mature sounding, which is not a bad thing. You could really hear the contrast in sounds, going from the new stuff into the hard rocking me and my friends.

I am down with this album. Its fuckin awesome to me. Welcome back, RHCP. Been listening to them since I was 11, longer than PJ actually.

I listened to the new album and it didn't do anything for me. Kind of blah. I think some lesser unknown bands have put out much better albums than this so far this summer.
