y'all are doing a fantastic job at fucking shit up. i'm not political by any stretch of the imagination, but jesus h christ, i can smell bullshit 19,000 miles away. how we the people let this happen is beyond my understanding. we need extreme changes and quickly from them fuckers in power.

good on ed and others who fight the good fight. i do not know the answers. i do know we are getting fucked over and often, a way of life, getting torqued up the fanny time and time again. i do not trust these kind of people, i do not like these sort of people, i wish they would all disappear.

this isn't a very educated posting here because like i said, i do not follow politics as much as some of y'all. but i am intelligent enough to know, to feel, that we are force fed horse shit pretty much 24x7.

i am sick of big business fucking shit up and greasing the pockets of wrong and evil in the name of greed and power.
i wish some of the powers would box.

honestly, it is a daydream/nighttime dream to kick the holy hell outta these kinda jerk offs.

i like Obama fine, he was handed a complete train wreck beyond repair.
and he may be a bullshit artist himself.

we should have a pj revolution type thing. before you know it thousands then millions of others would join the march to d.c.
we really should camp out on the lawn at the lincoln and jefferson memorial, millions of us. chain ourselves together, bolt ourselves to the vietnam memorial wall and demand everyone out so we can rebuild this frickin place.

    seriously, everyone...get out.

    we need american jobs
    we all need health care
we all need food, clothing, and shelter

i myself am on s.s. disability. i am a wreck but getting better. i owe 5 hospitals money, some of my medical issues are paid in full, other times they are not. how the fuck can i pay my medical bills when i can't even pay any of my other bills outside of housing, food, health insurance, and prescription insurance. i have a gym membership i pay, that's it, i am busted. so i (literally) wear rags and try harder than anyone i know to get healthier and to live better.

i have large student loan debt beyond my ability to pay.
all in all i am broken down and can barely move about without extreme pain. still i have hope for myself and this world. it isn't just this country where i live, it is global and at this point we need heroes.

Too bad we couldn't lock in Congress and the Senate as a message that we want them to work together to put the country first instead of their ideologies. Have people stay inside where they work, block the doors, and make sure they don't leave (only to use the bathroom, of course) and they could only have food delivered.

i know people aren't interested in hearing this ... but it's gonna take a major overhaul ... the system has been thoroughly corrupted ... it will take an egyptian/libyan type uprising and sadly - i am dead serious ...

If it's thoroughly corrupted, than it's because of corrupt individuals that the American people put there. We don't need an uprising, we need to vote the right people in. Even if there was an Egyptian/Libyan type uprising, what makes you think we Americans wouldn't put the same type of people back in power?

that can't happen right now because if you're a moderate candidate, you don't stand a chance. both sides pander to the extremes. as much as politicians are the problem, so are the morons who support the extreme ideologies.

well, I was thinking more of the tea party ;)

what I meant was....dem or rep...you gotta toe the party line. don't you dare question the dominant ideology. there's a utahn running for the rep nomination...jon huntsman...not an ideal candidate but at least his opinions are HIS and not his party's. he doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell.

I'm not sure an Egyptian/Libyan style uprising is the only answer. Especially since the only people with the inclination to do something of that nature are the far Right. The far Left are mainly armchair revolutionaries, who even at their most active mainly just put on elaborate protests that are more focused on performance art than their message.

As much as I hate to say it, the Tea Party sort of has the right idea, just the wrong motivation. And they too are prone to getting carried away with the pageantry of their demonstrations as opposed to what they are supposedly trying to say, just like the Left. Plus they aren't all that organized or focused.

We do need change, but I have no clue how to accomplish it. I would like to think there are ways other than an uprising that could put people's lives in danger. And since the population of the country is so divided in their ideals, the people can't really rally together as one. Whichever side of the political spectrum manages to accomplish change is going to leave a good half of the country disenfranchised.

What needs to happen is that somebody needs to go Washington and slap all the politicians around and get them to stop playing games, and treating the party system like some rivalry that matters more than the lives of the people they represent. Republicans need to stop demonizing Democrats, and Democrats need to stop demonizing Republicans. As long as they keep up this game, not only will nothing be accomplished in Washington, but the population will be at each others throats as well. And there can be no change for the greater good of the country while the people who can actually create change all hate each other and label one another as being either on their side or being the enemy.

As it stands, any uprising would actually be uprisingS, and be more of a Civil War than a revolution.

But if it did, rest assured the TEA Party (the original not these new TEA-O'Cons) will be leading the way.

The only way you'll get the lazy to do anything is to cut off their welfare checks.

  • I'm not waiting for any sort of revolution as I feel that the so-called grass roots of America are every bit as greedy and arrogant as their elected representatives. I suppose the positive in this is that if the US eventually falls, most of the developed world will go with them which is bound to make more than a few people happy.
