Rocket Bar is very cool. As I read somewhere else on the board, the pre-party for the PJ show last month there was awesome! They were playing PJ all night and was a great time. And yes, they do have excellent Jager Bombs!
They have a HUGE bar they open up with a very cool atmosphere. The only downside is they DO NOT serve food, so you can bring your own and there are plenty of places around there. I believe it is about 7 blocks from the Warner. Look forward to seeing everyone is a few weeks!

...Also on a side note to the woman bringing her daughter - I am in my mid-twenties and single. Sure, me and my buddy wouldn't mind hitting on you and your daughter...hehe...

Hahaha. Trust me -- you wouldn't want to be hitting on me! Married & way too old! My daughter is really cute, but she actually has a boyfriend & would be mortified to think that I was trying to set her up. But hey, if you want to flirt & buy her a drink, be my guest (what kind of mother am I?!?).
Yes, I guess they are going to blame the prices on gas increases like every other freaking thing in this world. Fight The Power!
No, seriously, this is fucking PBR we're talking about!
But, I will kindly buy the young lady a classy can of only the good stuff...like a nice 16 oz. pounder of Pabst Blue Ribbon....I know - smooth ain't I?
And you're a great mother! Only the best selection of PBR/Miller High Life for you as well. Once again, I'm just sooo fucking Rico Suave.
On a side side note - does anyone know anything about the Hotel Rouge? That's where I'm staying. Looks pretty swank and has a bar. I know it's near Dupont Circle which is key. And the beds look muy comfortable. I just wanted to see if anyone's been there and knows if this place is sweet.
I promise i won't tell. It's all in good fun. Maybe i'll run into you guys at the pre-party and i'll gladly buy a drink for a fellow PJ fan.
We'll try to make it. She just found out that she has an all day session for her job on Saturday in Baltimore, and won't be done until 6. Sucks! I'm hoping she tells the powers that be that it's Saturday night & she's outta there by 4. If that happens, and she can meet me in DC at a reasonable time, we'll hit the pre-party. And then all of you nice young PJ fans can hit on her!

She probably will want to hit on me, lol.
Out of the Blue and Into the Black................Uncle Neil Philly 08 here I come!!!!

It does look nice, and it's gotten good reviews on tripadvisor.com. It's also a Kimpton hotel, and their places are swank & nicely decorated. I've stayed in the Monaco in DC for the PJ DC concert last month, and I've stayed in two different Kimpton hotels in Boston. All very nice. You should join the Kimpton In Touch program (free -- just register at kimptonhotels.com) -- then they act all nice to you at the check-in desk! Plus I think you can earn a free night eventually.
And by the way, I'm a Corona Light woman -- I know -- pretty wimpy. My daughter will drink anything -- she just graduated from college & doesn't know better yet.
If anyone has the time or desire, I think we need to create a poll and determine the best pre-party from all of the suggestions. Thoughts? Takers......?

Well, Corona Light it is then. Yeah, I hope everything works out with my room. I booked through Priceline name your own price and got a sweet deal. Hopefully they don't F up my room and not give me 2 queen beds like I requested. I called the hotel and everything. If I end up with a room with 1 King size bed for two dudes I'm gonna be extremely displeased.
I'm in for the poll - my 2 suggestions would be Stetson's and Madam's Organ. They're where all the cool kids go.
**NOTE - as I'm writing this in my apartment bedroom at 445 am drinking the last of the beer in the fridge I literally just heard gun shots go off outside. And I'm suppose to be in one of the more "classy" parts of Philly. Someone's gotta seriously do something about the fucking violence in this city. It is fucking ridiculous.**
Yes...someone add up all the places we have mentioned and let's have a poll...i guess kind of like the PJ survival game thread...but DC 10c hangout survival game lol so we can all decide!

Nor do I care - take a cab. It'll take 2 minutes. Madam's Organ (2), bitches!!
Yeah, I am just pointing it out if a lot of people are there- getting a cab for all of them at 6 PM won't be as easy as New York would. And just letting everyone from out of town know they can't walk from there. Adams Morgan can be a good time, lots of bars and restaurants. I will probably hit up cap city brewing.
...got a mind full of questions and a teacher in my soul...

Oh no -- she's going to kill me if she finds out I was advertising her in the Pit!

Good nite.
I don't know if I look like them, but I am very healthy on the eyes.
I don't know if I look like them, but I'm still eye candy.
Madam's Organ is a cool place...they love music there, kida cramped though
Yeah, but it's sweet. I think that's a good enough argument.
Madam's Organ [1]
Yeah the Adam's Morgan section is cool but I am not sure the proximety is preferable...What about one of the places on Warner Theatre's site like
CAPITOL CITY BREWING COMPANY
