weve had these images on our cigarette packets for years and the only people they gross out are the non smokers. and i agree with cincy(i think it was)... either make smoking illegal(which im all for) or stop fucking with their business.

why does it have to be an either/or?

the tobacco companies knowingly produced and mass marketed a known addictive substance and a known carcinogen for decades and even denied their knowledge of this before government committees on several oxccasions...

    fuck 'em.

    serves them right...

By the same logic the government approved for sale a deadly and addictive product. I mean the government does its own independant tests on meat to make sure it is not going to make you sick, why wasn't it doing the same thing for tobacco.

cause if you make it illegal theres no longer a reason to fuck with their business. the health warnings on cigarette packaging are fine... if they stop someone smoking then hooray!! here in australia theres a debate going on as to whether or not ALL cigarettes will be packaged in plain khaki... no immediately recognisable packaging at POS. theyre hoping somehow this will stop people smoking.. i dont see how. theyve already put ciagettes behind doors so you cant see the pretty packaging, so wrapping them in plain khaki seems redundant to me. what is the govts reasoning behind these moves???? to stop people smoking???? if the health warnings dont work then what makes them think hiding the packaging will??? im not a smoker.. ive never been a smoker and i think its a disgusting habit and a waste of time and money... but i also think the govt doesnt have a clue when it comes to this issue and their strategies are as i said redundant.
