When I hear "Corporations are a group of people", I think-- yeah, but which people? I wonder if when those who say corporations are a group of people do they really mean co-operatives? My small business is a co-operative. Hey, and I'm not even a Marxist! Our co-operative is a group of people who work together on equal footing. And not to promote myself or anything, but I really do think people like us more than corporations!

And I like what keeponrockin said about Ron Paul being ACTUALLY a conservative and not just one when it's convenient. Old school conservatives actually believe in things like, well, conserving. Not all bad if you know what I mean. And you heard that from a left-leaning kind of guy.

Agree with that 'Corporations are people, too' song thing. Kind of a lame argurement
Can't it be said that ANY group of people with a similar purpose... are people, too? Like the 8-Tray Crips... or Al Qaeda... or the Westboro Baptist Church... or the Tea Party... or the Girl Scouts. All of them are groups of people with a like minded goal or purpose... whether it be Wal-Mart, selling goods or Girl Scouts selling cookies or the Crips selling pot, the "______ are people, too' slogan applies.

Hey, now before anybody gets upset, I was a Boy Scout. Yeah we had to learn the pledge and god and country and all that, but some of it was great-- learning to make fires, sleeping in the rain, sitting close to the camp fire so no one would notice the cigs cupped in our hands. Beside, Keith Richards was a Boy Scout.

    Ok, back to Mr. Paul...

Can't the same be said about 'Government'? Isn't Government made up of people, too? Not just politicians (similar to CEOs and executive officers), but regular working stiffs, like secretaries, security officers, park rangers, etc... they are all people... right?

Yes, they are. And I do think someone could try to draw that line without my contention.

Ron Paul and Congress could have challenged the Citizen United ruling defining corporations as individuals, by demonstrating that Corporations are nothing more than legal documentation. When Bill Gates votes, he doesn't get to get back in line and sign in as Microsoft and vote. He doesn't get to then vote again as the Bill Gates Foundation. Yet, under Citizen United Bill Gates can give all the money he wants to buy any politician or judge to sponsor legislation or rule in his favor to benefit his Corporate activities without the same limitations imposed on personal donations.

Ron Paul saying Corporations aren't people doesn't mean shit because he had the opportunity to prove his statement and didn't.
SIN EATERS--We take the moral excrement we find in this equation and we bury it down deep inside of us so that the rest of our case can stay pure. That is the job. We are morally indefensible and absolutely necessary.
