    I remember that blizzard, took the path to jersey city for work. wrote six nhl recaps and two college basketball recaps in a 10-hour shift and then came back the next day.

    i know - it is always something w/me, isn't it???? ha ha. well that was a pretty major something back in '03. not a good year. hopefully this friday nothing that catastrophic will occur. **however**, i may need to leave a little early...there is something tentative I had planned. I will see how it goes, but I do plan to be there.

    oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

    And yes, I attended the first NYC meet-up in 2003...a few of us started at a bar in the village (I can't remember the name) and we ended up at the Blarney Stone on 32nd St. near MSG. Sad note, that Blarney Stone is no longer there!

    btw - while we're at it, i would please like some chilean wine suggestions. there was a thread ages ago you promised to share some tips...and then, nutthin'. :( so get a list ready, b/c i want some new wines to try! i am a red woman only...usually pinot noir, my fave, shiraz, or cab savs......but i'm open to whatever. :)
