Actually... You may have read that wrong.
Porn use IS linked to sexual assault and every single study shows that porn use LOWERS sexual crimes.
It's the sexually repressed priests who do the most molesting and the kids who are taught that sex is bad who all get knocked up at 16.0 -

And I am sick of Catholics defending the culture of child rape that they support.
I'll make you a deal.. Throw your Nazi, pedophile-loving pope into prison where he belongs, stop giving money to protect men who rape kids, attack women, attack my marriage and family and actually read that bible you use as a weapon and I'll stop pointing out that an abundance of your catholic priests rape kids and your pope is a Nazi.
Deal?0 -
I was brought up a Catholic.
Peadophilia is not the only crime perpetrated by the catholic church against children, just look at what the nuns have done in childrens homes.

Due to problems within my own 'catholic' family whilst growing up I came to the conclusion early on that a religion where you can do something really terrible, go confess, then be forgiven and expect entry into a so called 'heaven' is a load of crap.
I know not everyone in the catholic church is bad, and I'm just speaking for myself and don't expect anyone to agree with me. It's just not a religion I am very fond of and I have read a lot that has reinforced my opinions.<a href="http://s952.photobucket.com/albums/ae8/catkinson_2009/?action=view¤t=domo.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i952.photobucket.com/albums/ae8/catkinson_2009/domo.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>0 -

Sorry, this has been bugging me all night.
First... It kinda sounds like you're saying it's not a big deal that kids are molested because everyone does it.
Second.. I haven't heard of a huge, systematic and generational culture of molestation by Buddhist monks, Wiccan Priests or shaman.
Most of all, if you're tired of heaing about it... What have you done to stop it? Because it almost sounds like you just want people to stop talking about it not not actually do anything to stop the molestation.0 -

I feel it is up to parents to protect their children.
Through this discussion I have asked... where are the parents?
It really comes down to their responsibility.
Molestation is a known occurrence, a threat wherever there are children.
The sad truth there are pedophiles everywhere... waiting for an opportunity.
We know they exist in other types of organizations, this has been publicized.
Heck you might have one in extended family, a family friend, a music teacher, a coach etc.
Parents must be aware and beware.
Good communication, educating our children
and empowering them is the way to stop this kind of evil.
As far as the church not taking as much responsibility as people want,
I'm sure it comes down to money, lawsuits, it seems it's all about the money, as always.
Money is power, they need to remain powerful, they need to keep the money.
Is this right, no of course not, but it certainly seems to be the name of the game
absolutely everywhere.0 -
the catholic church needs to be abolished and the upper hierarchy charged with crimes against humanity
for those practicing catholics:
1. you can find ALL the good things about your faith in other religions
2. you are at the forefront of ending this shame and violence
3. having faith is not a bad thing ... being indoctrinated to the point of making excuses for this failed leadership is ...

Because government is mandatory. Church is not.
So, your point is that since government is mandatory... people don't believe what they say. And since church is voluentary.... people tend to believe them?
Is that why people continued to fund the bank accounts of Jim and Tammy Baker, Jimmy Swaggert, Oral Roberts and Robert Schuller? And is that why people come to the defense of the Catholic Church in rape/molestation cases.... because they want to?
...
Add: I see the structure of the Catholic Church as not being that different than Union Carbide or the State of New Jersey. Except the people of New Jersey get to pick their leaders.Allen Fieldhouse, home of the 2008 NCAA men's Basketball Champions! Go Jayhawks!

Blaming the parents for the rape of children by priests is like saying the parents of the victims of the Virginia State and Columbine school shooting are the blame for sending their child to school that day because they knew guns are legalized in their States.
Given that the raping of children by Catholic priests is a world-wide problem, the teachings of the parents don’t seem to be the issue. These paedophiles use the trapping of the Catholic Church, their God-like status, and fear on a child. The Vatican knowingly and continuously protects the perpetrators of this criminal activity throughout the world, by using its status as the Vatican and its institutional entity the Catholic Church, and that is the issue at hand.
1. If the workers of the American Red Cross were using its status as an international organization to systematically rape children world-wide, what do you think would happen to those workers and to the leadership of the American Red Cross?
2.Vatican City is a recognized SOVEREIGN COUNTRY, just like Ireland, Australia, Mexico, Brazil, the UK and the USA.
The Vatican has permitted its citizens, its employees and its charges, under their organizational entities of churches, schools and other facilities to systematically hide and harbor ongoing felons and felony activities. They have done this on a world-wide scale that falls within the category of crimes against humanity.
We have recently gone after foreign leaders and their circle of leaders both civilian and military, to whom we have accused as committing crimes against humanity the Vatican should be held to the same standard.SIN EATERS--We take the moral excrement we find in this equation and we bury it down deep inside of us so that the rest of our case can stay pure. That is the job. We are morally indefensible and absolutely necessary.0 -
ok here i go
i believe the catholic church to be one of the biggest hoaxes ever perpetuated upon mankind
the continuous protection and perpetual relocation of their "fallen" brothers is just another example of how the church has exerted control over its papcy and worse its very children
where were their parents?
probably in the fucking dark as shame and brain-washing are part of the abuse
i have many problems with the church and religion in general and am not objective in the least but
these children (and there were girls as well) will never possess any kind of objectivity EVERfuck 'em if they can't take a joke
