Ah good times reading through this thread! All sensible stuff, well, mostly... avoid the H.
Yeah, I slam a gatorade or two before bed when even mildly tipsy now. Greasy breakfast does the trick. And honestly, when it's just bare minimum recovery needed, I find the sugar, caffine and carbonation in a big Coke works miracles.
Few years back flew in to Philly for Vedder, that was too brutal with the bar right across the way, and just kept at it right up to passing out in the hotel room. Thank god a siren woke me up at 6 am -- my flight left at 7! Screamed outta the room, cab, got to the gate just as they were getting ready to leave. Adreneline is a damn fine cure, until it's not.
Dry heaves, head spinning, eyes pounding all the way to Chicago -- I'm sure everyone thought I gave 'em bird flu! Tried to walk it off during lay-over, but finally pounded a huge Coke and the flight to Cali was a piece of cake!
I've never needed a cure since... but I've never heard from those ladies I shared a cab with back downtown after the show either![sic] happens0 -
