I love the Kings & I Love Band of Horses too!!! I was pissed the other night not because of me, but because I hate it for the people who drove hundreds of miles and got shit on by Caleb. By the way here's the BOH set from Dallas & I can't wait for the return of KOL to Dallas on Sept 21, show should be epic and the appologies should flow :D .

    BOH setlist Dallas

I don;t think BoH are touring with them on the next leg are they? We have tickets to see KoL in October here in Toronto and although I have not seen an opening announced, it doesn't say anything on BoH's site about them playing past this leg with KoL.

It's funny the hate they get for cancelling a few measly shows for a legit reason and the Black Keys get off scot-free for cancelling a whole tour due to exaustion then rescheduling a much easier tour in its place. Why is it so cool to hate KoL?

What exactly is the legit reason? I can't imagine his guitar player would be railing on him if he really was sick. Sounds like a guy that had too much to drink, was too hot, and didn't want to finish his gig. Completely lame and they deserve all the criticism they're getting.

Sounds like bigger fish to fry than a few nights of drunkenness. The band pretty well laid that out when apologizing at a show. Yeah, it's not that great of an excuse, but it sounds like he needs help or at the very least a night or 2 off to get straight enough to play as many shows as possible.

What the Black Keys did is much worse imo and I haven't really heard anybody bag on them besides the people that were affected.

I agree with your overall point. But, KOL operates as the biggest rock band in the world; something that the Black Keys cannot do. One situation will certainly get more attention then the other. And like you said, most people really like the Keys. A lot of people really like to not like the Kings.

I wouldn't be half surprised if the scrapped the rest of their tour as well. Might do them some good.

Exhaustion is not self-induced in the way alcoholism is - and I'm not sure how 'exhaustion' is a non-legitimate reason for cancellation when blatant alcohol abuse is.

The Queens of Leon is more fitting or how about just the Queen of Leon.
Come on Caleb, Paul McCartney played for 3 1/2 hours at Wrigley Field last night in 95 degree weather and humidity of 70% and he's 69 years old. Also weren't they playing at night as well. I'm pretty sure they can have all the comforts like fans blowing on them at all times. It just annoying to me.

They weren't too exausted to announce tour dates stateside. Or maybe that's why they put on such a lack luster show.

yes, if people were paying me money to sing songs and a bird shit on me i would take it in stride.

also, there were stories that said the birds had nothing to do with it. they were hammered and played the least amount of songs in their contract where they would still get paid.

I like KOL quite a bit.

However, I thought it was strange, while watching "Storytellers", that Caleb would say before each song, "I can't really remember why I wrote this song...I was drunk at the time." I swear he said that before each song. That can't be a good sign.

No shit. I noticed that they were on their way to their same ol stale 20 song, 85 minute setlist. I've said it a million times. This band has a deep enough catalog with good songs that they should be churning out 25-27 song differing sets every night. They do not have an elaborate stage set up or light show. But they continue to be a bore live. It's too bad.

Yea this band has one of the most predictable live sets and they act like divas. I have not supported this band the last few years and will continue not to do so.

So, is it because of their audience? Are they a bore because they became popular so quickly after their pop radio hit?

Did they have great live shows back in '04 or '05?

Kings of Leon is cancelling the rest of their US tour.

The Kings of Leon are pulling the plug on the rest of their U.S. tour -- due to health issues affecting lead singer Caleb Followill ... TMZ has learned.

A rep for the band released a statement saying, "We are so sorry to say Kings of Leon are canceling their entire US tour due to Caleb Followill suffering from vocal issues and exhaustion."

The statement continues, "The band is devastated, but in order to give their fans the shows they deserve, they need to take this break. Unfortunately, the US dates cannot be rescheduled due to the band's international tour schedule."

The rep tells us tickets will be refunded -- and the band will resume touring in Canada on September 28th.

I hope that if Caleb has issues, he is able to clear them up. Whether it's exhaustion, alcohol or whatever, a little time off may help him (and the band) out.
