how good is it on tap at the pub :D
Had a pint after work on Thursday, now I am craving another.
I bought a 4 pack of cans for a bday party tonight, hope it is as good as on tap.

I'm sure I'm alone on this, and I'll get shit for it, but I'm sorry, Guinness is the most overrated piece of garbage out there. It's just not for this guy.

Can you drink it from the can or does it need to be poured into a glass?
This is the first time I have bought the cans, usually I buy it from the pub on tap.

Drink it from a glass. You just can't beat the taste of a Guinness when drinking at a pub/bar. The cans just can't replicate that.

I think you can probably drink it from the can. The can has some kind of ball in it that is supposed to simulate a tap. I've never tried drinking it from the can, I always pour it into a glass. Delicious

whats up with the lil plastic floaty thing they put in the bottled Guinness? Something to do with how it pours??

It's a widget. When you pour your beer out into a glass, it's supposed to be the same as if you had gotten it from the tap. If this is the thing you are talking about.

Still doesn't make a difference I think. You just can't replicate beer from the tap.

the only place you can get a decent Guinness is in Ireland.

it's not the same here, at the pub or in a can. it is brewed locally and it's just not the same. not sure if you can get 100% imported Guinness here.

i haven't had it for a very long time. when i used to work in a pub we got guinness and kilkenny on tap and the guy from C&UB come out and gave us all a lesson on pouring a good guinness, i had worked at other pubs that had it so knew how but went anyway. this was a 9am lesson mind you, so we sat round learning how to pour pints of guinness and kilkenny and then drinking said pints. not cool to get somewhat drunk on guinness at 9am.

There is an art in pouring the perfect Pint of Guinness.... :) ... The can of Guinness is a very poor substitute... instead try a large bottle of Guinness it has fizz... Jesus it's only 10.20 in the morning and I want a drink......

At the end of Belfast gig Eddie was drinking a large bottle of Guinness... :)

I think sam adams sucks too. Tried the Sams Summer Ale last night. Wasn't awful, but it's not good either

Guinness is my favorite. Love it. Definitely hve a few tonight

It was not bad last night, better on tap though.
The cans I bought were imported I am sure, had ''British standard drinks" on the labeling.

Good thing about Guinness is that it does not leave you bloated, it is awesome.

I understand drinking Guinness if you want a stout and there are no better options available at your local bar. That said, it's a mediocre stout at best.
I wish I was as fortunate, as fortunate as me.
