So it looks like I have convinced my future wife to walk out during the reception to a PJ song and maybe end the reception with a PJ song. I have ideas for both, but would love other ideas. Also any songs you think I could maybe recommend for our first dance would be appreciated. I don't think I can pull that off but worth a try. Right now we are dancing to a Stand song, which I like, but why not try! I am also going to try to play some PJ Piano music I have during cocktail hour!

I already told my fiance that 'Yellow Ledbetter' will be the last song played at our wedding.

I already told my fiance that 'Yellow Ledbetter' will be the last song played at our wedding.

Last song of our medley on Oct 22 2011 (yes I'm this traditional... PJ 21 year anniversary).

It also is our first bridging song (I mean) she knew this song from Friends last episode. I knew this song from my PJ obsession.

Our whole reception dinner had nothing but Pearl Jam songs...We had to make a disc for the dj so he didn't screw it up...Wedding party was introduced to Sympathy for the Devil and of course the last song of the night had to be YLB....I'll never forget how excited my wife and I were when we realized it was our wedding and we could play what ever the hell we wanted..No matter what, enjoy your day.

I think "Longing to Belong" would be a beautiful wedding song.
My last message to you ~

You're right. You are a monster! You are sick! Get help!

    At least, I am not a fuck-up! A lying fuck-up!
  • Some people think it is a somber song, but I think Just Breathe is an incredible love song. Seriously I have been brought to tears by it's sweetness. Just whatever you do and whatever you choose, consider reading the lyrics first.

Around The Bend was the last dance at my wedding reception.
I would recommend Parachutes or Tulomne (from Into The Wild).

I kinda picture my wedding with piano/organ playing during the church service. And during the party let it all go out (guitars, bass, drums etc..) but there won't be any singing. I like the whole instrumental atmosphere when I'm at these events. Talk amongst your friends & family. Cause there will alway's be a few who can't stand the singing, but don't mind the musical playing in the background. Though I already know there will be a lot of Greek music playing @ my wedding, so I will have to get some of those Pearl Jam songs in there somehow. Will be tough, but i'll try my best.
