i slam politicians who claim to be christian but vote contrary to how christ would vote. it is absolutely necessary to call them on their hypocracy.

to me it is insulting to think a guy who claims to be christian votes against helping the least of us, and is not his brother's keeper, and who votes in favor of capital punishment.

You sound like the typical complacent person who has never had any adversity in his face. I believe POD is standing up for himself and pushing for equal rights.

There is another thread dedicated to this guy Perry and his advocates. I honestly knew nothing about him before that thread. I'm glad he started this follow-up thread - I learned a bit about how unbalanced Perry is...And if I was POD, and saw the support that this Perry guy was getting, I'd feel a bit threatened personally. I'm not POD, but I fear politicians like this Perry guy. I'm glad people like POD voice their opinions, and you know what, I dont care if he says personal things in every post, he's comfortable with who he is if you ask me. I pity people who feel threatened by his choice to use freedom of expression.

This is the most absurd post I've ever read.

Maybe you haven't noticed but since the new GOP house has taken shape, most of what they've done has been "Jesus-based" governing. From using religion to make anti-abortion laws, taking books out of school libraries that aren't "bible based" enough to attacking the poor (for some reason, I've never figured out how Jesus would approve of that but to be fair, I haven't been to church in a long time).

and Remember Bush's "Faith-Based" initiatives that were just fronts for shoveling government money into churches so it could be donated tax-free back to Bush's re-election campaign?
