$23.52 on Amazon
vs. ;)
$34.99 from the Ten Club

Of course I prefer to give the 10C my business. So don't shoot me, but honestly, someone give me a good reason to drop an extra $11+$7.50 shipping...

Tim would say that Amazon loses money on it. He is correct.

Amazon sales 145,000 books at that price so they can sale other stuff to 145,000 people.

  • To me it is not so much the price difference as it is the level of service. I want to give my money to the 10c but they have been making me pay for doing so by waiting forever to get the items that I have "pre-ordered" It has been 87 days since I ordered the EV song book and Blue Ray (i know now never to order items together).

Let's be honest, as much as I like Santos, and the rest of the 10C, (and no offense to any of them) but it's obvious that these people are not experienced in merchandising and they're learning as they go... and it's going to stay that way cause PJ does not want to become a "corporation" where they find commerical people and hire them because they know what they are doing...

They are going to continue to hire the kind, nice people that they like, and let the people learn there way through the job, and that's just it. And as a result, things purchased directly from them are always going to be more expensive and arrive later. that's just the way it is.

And in today's modern world, there's no reason you should pay 34.99 + shipping when you can get it for 23.52 somewhere else with free shipping (provided you buy something else to make your order hit $30)....
Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.

Unless this is some limited edition version there is no reason to buy it from the 10 Club. If you are in the USA you can go to any big bookstore and get it cheaper as well as on Amazon.

  • I ordered from amazon because they provide great customer service, and ship real fast.

But I really like it that 10-C shows us the link to amazon and other sellers on their site.
Good service for the fans, who can decide on their own where to order it.

yes, this is a good change - open communication. the best buy coupon/sale price thing for the EV Uke cd and dvd left a sour taste in the mouths of many.

I don't buy the whole "Amazon loses money thing so they can sell other stuff to people" argument. At what point then do they make money?? Pretty much anytime I shop for something I find it cheaper on Amazon then anywhere else, and this is for everything not just PJ books and stuff. My LCD TV was 600 less than Best Buy (they wouldn't match the price either) and I paid no sales tax and no shipping. Did the store that sold me the TV lose money...I'm pretty sure they didn't. Same with my laptop. Same with some non-PJ cd's I bought. Same with a toaster oven I bought and the extra charger I bought for my phone. Amazon and it's retailers are not losing money.
  • Look at Amazon's stock price over the past 5 years... I know the stock price is not the end all be all with all of the crooks on wall street, but I doubt they are losing money on a significant amount of items.
