***Official Green Bay Packers Thread***

I watched the game with my parents who grew up near Green Bay and are huge cheese heads .... as a Colts fan first, I had to finish watching the 4th quarter in a separate room to preserve family relations and make sure I wouldn't get cut out of the will.

I was getting a beer from across the room when Nick Perry leveled Luck in the 2nd quarter ... I initially thought the football was Luck's head popping off. :shock:

It's too early to be throwing up your arms in despair is all. The only problem is Minnesota being between us and Chicago. But I don't think they're going to hold up, especially playing us and Chicago 2 games each later this year.

Edit: Don't forget, this is a 3-2 team that got screwed in one of the most shameful moments in NFL history into being 2-3. So we aren't as bad as the record looks, anybody who knows anything about football knows this team is actually 3-2.

You bring up some really good points here and if they can get it together by the second half of the season I think this still could be a Superbowl caliber team. I'm also looking at them as a 3-2 team

So it's looking like Benson might be out for up to 8 weeks...which really bummed me out at first, but let's be real. The Packers are much better when they let the ball fly. Alex Green isn't so bad, but when they won the Superbowl the running game was pretty nonexistent. Passing clearly works for them and thus far this year with a running game...bupkus. I'm not saying that I'm happy that Benson's hurt, but hopefully this weekend they'll get back to their air game and beat the Texans!

I'm trying to stay positive this weekend :thumbup:

don't think it's the running game holding the packers back.....

a O line and defense that has more holes than the swiss cheese on my sammich would be a better place to look for answers.

Defense is being built up...losing Raji in the 2nd half last week is really what killed us. We've got a lot of new guys there and they just need some time to gel, which will happen. I have total faith in Dom Capers.

Last year the defense sucked. They made up for it in the draft this year, got what, 6 new Dmen?

I think the biggest issue facing the Packer is that teams are jamming the WR at the line and this is interrupting Rodgers timing. just look at his Yard per play which is under 7 yards.

This is still a great team but they must evolve abit in their offense. They also need some yards rushing.
