  • He didn't inherit Libya.
how many american troops are on the ground fighting in libya again??

    oh i forgot....zero....

    Point being what?
point being that we did not "go it alone" and start a coalition of the willing. we were asked for help, we helped and relinqueshed the leadership role. we are not occupying libya.

i will bet that people would be complaining if we hadn't gotten involved there, because nothing is more important than delivering freedom at the barrel of a gun, right?

Or further bankrupting your country by obligating resources with money that doesn't exist, right?

Troops may not be on the ground in Libya, but acts of war and aggression against another sovereign nation are still being conducted by the United States' involvement.

don't forget about the NEOCON series, which are IMO the best posters...

and i do feel that protraying obama as a monkey in a poster is not going to happen for several reasons.

maybe they are not as outspoken becuase let's face it, it could be worse...mccain and palin could be in charge.

you may find it funny now that they are less vocal, the same as i find it funny how republicans are just recently "outraged" about the wars and deficit spending...
Those are great posters. Do you have them?
There are probably alot of poster I am forgetting, Several of the DC's that I have, are also jabs (reaper).
I am not saying that they should protray obama as a moneky, I am just wondering why they are not addressing politics anymore (in the form of posters) as it was such a drive for their music/art for many years. Yet we are still facing the same terrible decision making, etc.

There's probably a lot to make fun of, but I think it was just easier to make fun of Bush. He really had that aura of being on a pedestal. Knock him off that pedestal, its fun.

Now we're in many of the same predicaments, if not worse, and its just not as funny maybe. Then again we're only a few years into Obama.. Bush had eight years to lie and act like a buffoon. Maybe we'll get some posters knocking Obama if he makes it into a second term?

I am not really asking for them to be any, I just find it "inconsistant"

i have the cheney one framed and hanging on my wall and i have the ashcroft and rummy ones in a tube. it is not worth me framing and hanging them if i don't have all of them, besides custom framing is ridiculously expensive.
i really like the reaper one too, but i don't have that one.

i think they still care deeply about politics and the way things are, and once they find someone who might be a better candidate they might throw their support behind them instead. it is not an election year yet. also i think it might depend on the artist and their inspirations for what they are creating for each poster.

I hear ya on the custom framing... I went on a poster frenzy for a couple years and was fortunate enough to go to a bunch of shows and get posters. I probably have around 80 or so, but only have 15-20 framed.
The others have been in Tubes since 03"...
Its is extremely expensive to frame posters. Sometime (where I live) Micheal's or Hobby Lobby will have a 50% off frame sale, but with the mat and size of frame it still ends up being like $60-$80.
Whats your favorite poster you have framed?
I never thought about it being tied in with election timing, I wonder if the bulk of their GW posters coincided with election time?
PJ /EV caring deeply about politics is what prompted me to start this, Thats always seemed to play an important role.

But let's be honest, it's not PJ making those posters with the exception of a select few (ed ved seattle) ... but I wonder if anyone in PJ approves them?

I have the eddie poster and don't remember the obama button.

Yeah, I kind of remember reading that. Makes sense.

Just had a friend gift me a nice framed '06 Gorge poster (evil kneivel one) and it looks really nice. 8-)
I have around 50 posters but they are all framed in poster tubes. Too expensive to frame them.

Anyways, I blame it all on my drug dealer, Santos L. Halper (and his secret boss).
