  • Back in my day we had the toy guns that looked like the real deal. No orange plug in the front and they were black plastic or metal ect.

Badass. I had this exact model:

    tracer_gun470x368.jpg

...plus various other cap guns, etc.

My 7-year-old has a "vintage" cap gun (made in the mid-'60s?) that I picked up for him on eBay.

Cap guns?? I totally forgot about those. I had one and it was a go-bot/transformer unless I'm getting my toys confused.

I also had an AK-47 battery powered squirt gun. It probably looked like the real thing from afar.
    I was there...

the closest to toy guns we had were bb guns and pellet guns
we never had bb gun or pellet gun fights like a lot of boys do
    oh hell no...

we knew it could fuck us up so we avoided shooting each other with bb guns and the like. besides, mom and dad would have beaten our asses and taken our guns and motorcycles away. every 11 or 12 year old deserves to have a 20-gauge shotgun and a 250cc honda, yes/no?

I hunt and have guns but do not want my two boys to play with toy guns. I don't even refer to water guns as guns. Just squirters or something. When my kids are 10 or so I will take them shooting a real gun and show them they are not toys.
We had bb guns growing up. I did get shot in the eye by my brother (and in the ass many times). He would give me a "ten" count and by the time five seconds was up...BAMM. right in the leg/ass. Anyway, the bb that went in my eye luckily got pinched on the side. Didn't know it was there but when I got an X-ray, it was wicked looking bc it had moved to the side/behind my eye.

I am not a fan of "toy" guns. Just the ones I use for killing.

You just described my childhood in the So Cal desert (Mojave to be precise, and mine was only 80cc but it seemed huge in the 3rd grade). Man I look back on that fondly. However, I wouldn't say that every 11/12 year old is responsible enough for such things.

As for the OP, yes I had all sorts of toy guns, though my mother was never a big fan. I was raised around real guns, so I think they believed that I understood the difference (which I did, as far as I can remember).

i've heard that over in china while working at a crowbar factory or whatever it was
that the workers take these pills that reduce urine which causes less piss breaks which gets more work out of them

now i could be dead wrong i do not know.

I don't know anything about it, but it wouldn't surprise me. Factory workers here are treated like cattle.
