    I wasn't really listening that well, but the local rock station last night said something about Pearl Jam finishing up their 9th studio album.

    I didn't think they are any where close to finishing up, but I could be wrong.

    Mike told Rolling Stone during Bonnaroo that they were working on a new album...I believe "cracking away on a new disc" was how it was put.

    Whatever that means exactly is subjective and open to interpreation...but it sounds promising if accurate.

    wasn't the latest word that they'd meet back up this winter in the studio to continue working? even if they were in the studio right now, we're still not getting anything till next year.

    He also said that they were hoping to have it done, and hopefully released by the end of 2008

    Id bet they spend some time in the studio this fall, take time off for the holidays, and re group in late Jan early Feb.
