Went to all 4 Southern California show, and they did not disappoint as a whole! What a tremendous experience. We noticed Jesse upgrading on the first night and missed him by one row in SD. Got approached at the Wiltern, but were rejected because it had to be a "couple." Really bummed, but glad someone else had an awesome experience.

Here's the article from LA Times that was online this morning. A little harsh on Glen, but great picture of Ed.

    What a Great show!!!

love my 10c seats was few seat back from first balcony....
no one blocking my view.... fans where great around me....

ED played a great set list..... (trouble was great to hear live)...

Security was cool...was able to tail gate out side instead of dropping my all money on beer inside the club..

Felt like ED really responded to everyone singing along with him

Eddie's LA stop was a wonderful part 2 to the long beach show...

    - Ed came out much more "casual" than Long Beach... the curtain came up and Ed was kind of just strumming on the Uke -- he took a look around at everyone and then went into Can't Keep...

    - Yes, Ed thanked us all for selecting him to be our evening entertainment in LA... anything else would have been a VERY distant 2nd Eddie!

    - I agree, the LA crowd was a bit more spastic during songs - not as long or as loud applause after songs like in LB, and I agree I bit more "saucy" out there :) But really, that seems to be LA -- doesn't even matter the artist... but again, the show was incredible, and yet another reason why, regardless how "big" a fan you are - it's great to see the man multiple times in a tour because of the presentation changes and the set list!

    - WOW, I had never heard the chill uke version of Better Man -- LOVED IT... incredible... and also of course, "Immortality"

    - Glen and Ed stepping forward to the edge of the stage away from the mics for "sleepless nights" was epic -- YUP, they had to settle the crowd and catcalls at the beginning...and the middle pause - everybody wants to show their appreciation, but this little experiment requires complete quiet -- and we got it for the most part... but it was such a gift to hear Ed singing and playing sans amplification....

    - Eddie on Just Breathe missed a verse and kept strumming --- some laughs from the audience, and Ed just looked around with a mischievous smile and lipping the words "what?" -- Then of course, right back into it... all the while sounding amazing

    - We love the lyrics... and it just seemed that the LA show had little bouts where Ed would say/finish a line and the crowd would react -- it's our one chance to "2nd that emotion" with Eddie from the audience -- It gives you butterflys - lines that stick out were, Guaranteed: "I know the all the rules, but the rules do not know me... guaranteed" - lots of Woooo! Yeah!!! from the crowd -- Adds an extra weight to an already epic experience.... Also from Unthought Known: "A distant time, a distant place...so what's ya givin' ? what's ya givin' ? " -- more anxious affirmative sounds from the darkened theatre after that line too...

    - "okay, I need a blank sheet of paper here" -- Ed trying to quiet the crowd before going into his Arc creation...which again was just, well like a building wave right? More and more, and then - you get to enjoy all the layered vocals in all their splendor, while Ed takes a moment to walk the stage and wave to all...

    - Hand Clappin'....to some songs, throughout the night... I think we all hit our marks and kept time! ha, I think Ed digs that - gets the energy up - and dies down before it starts to wear on the tempo and hide the song... I do love the foot stomp Ed's addings some songs...

Honestly, this LA show seemed like "wha? it's over?" - I don't think Eddie took many breaks on this show - there didn't seem to be many long pauses before encores... He talked more with the crowd in Long Beach.. but a classic story he told in LA was the one already mentioned about Ed being depressed after the crowd deaths at PJ show - and he was hanging out alone at home, and bought a book on knots and was ignoring the ukulele "calling to him" - cause when he'd pick it up - it would want to put him in a good mood - and he'd say "shut the fuck up, leave me alone" ---- so he kept on knot tying...got good at it... and then came to the "noose" -- and would tie them and then take polaroids of himself with it around him and send them to friends... who of course would immediately call to make sure he was okay - and kidding...

Loved the Wiltern poster..... Eddie Vedder definitely IS a steam locomotive jumpin' the rails !!!

Regarding merchandise, the only thing I was bummed at were the T-shirts this tour -- I really wanted one as another reminder of the tour, but I was hoping they would have gone with the more fit, organic cotton/bamboo - ie: higher quality, nice T-shirts...the art was great, but the hanes beefy t quality isn't...they just don't feel or fit as well.... for the price, they really should have been... I'm only writing this in hopes Eddie and the band will plan to go more that route in the future like a lot of artists are... these tour artwork mementos deserve it!

Bummed my 2 night Vedder experience is over... but looks like the PJ bus picks up steam going into the rest of the year - and 2012 looks to be a HUGE year for the boys! Can't wait...

I got screwed with my ten club tickets, as did a lot of other people here. The scalpers did alright by waiting in line before the show though. For some reason there were a shitload of floor seats that got released.
Worse part is, if I'd known the crap I was purchasing from TC, I would have just said no thanks and taken my chances at the venue. Fucking Brutal! I'm never buying anything here again. I don't give a shit. I'll pay the scalpers I guess, They seem to always have the best seats anyway.
Just goes to show you. They don't give a fuck about you, The just care about your money.

As I understand it, certain venues have season ticket holders as well as a guest list (not necessarily always artist's guests). If they do not claim their seats by a certain time for an event, their extras go on sale at the last minute.

It sucks, honestly, but nothing to do with 10C.

  • I am glad to hear everyone had such a wonderful time. The set was unreal.
However, for the unlucky few who were seated to my left/right/behind/and in front....our night was ruined by the drunk/drugged out/total douche bags/suck at life/monsters that sat directly in front of us

    This couple
Dude had a poor mans mowhalk, chain wallet, and the cool skateboarder look and his GF looked like she belonged at some 2nd rate night club.

They were yelling, screaming, waving around, talking, disrupting, texting, and yes....almost started a brawl too. Everyone around us kept trying to shut them up and they could not care less.

I can normally phase out some douche people....but, this guy was simply angry at life. Everyone felt so uneasy
At at the end of the set...the couple starting fighting and he grabbed her a few times.

Alas, this never happens....but, its too bad.

I would of said something, but there was no saving the night. He was ready to throw the fists at anyone who talked to him

too bad. i pity people who are so angry in life. i hope he and his wife get help soon.

That's awful --- sounds like the perfect time to call for an usher. or 2 or 3.
So I'll just lie down and wait for the dream

I dont mean to whine but I had an entirely different experience. I was at the back center of the floor. This is apparently the singing section. I did not hear Ed at all for the majority of the evening and was in utter disbelief during immortality - really? If we wanted to hear you sing we would be at your place..... shut the f up and listen, you will find it a mind-blowing experience. (go ahead and sing your brains out during betterman)

As for the poor seats, the ten club has hooked me up so many times I cant count, no problem sitting in the back for once (my short wife could not see a thing but this can happen)

p.s. I have two extra floors for soundgarden at the forum if anyone wants them - face value or lower...
