"Thumbing My Way" was the shit!0

An amazing show, in fact, one of the best solo shows I've ever seen. And it wasn't what I would call a great set list. The performances were fantastic and the audience was awesome (theaters that do not allow any drinks in the hall rule for these sorts of shows). Ed seems much more confident than he was on the first solo tour and the show is much more rocking. Numerous moments made my heart soar. My favorite moment was Arc in the darkened theater, which was one of the most stirring things I've seen in a while. The others were Falling Slowly with Glen and the 4 piece string section, an unbelievable version of Sometimes, Unthought Known, and of course Mike guesting on YL.
Can't wait til the Wiltern on Friday and I hope Immortality makes the set.0 -
Absolute perfection.
My seatmates were so respectful and Ed was so funny and having fun.
Thumbing My Way brought me to tears, as did The End.
My jaw was on the floor the whole time during Arc.
I am so pumped for Friday
Thank you Ed and Glen (Panties in the Fountain - hehehe) and Mike.Post edited by finally on0 -

Big Improvement from San Diego. Mike showing up was just a bonus to a very well played show. 2 Townsend songs in one show and brain damage!0

Ah man I was calling for Yellow Ledbetter to be played in Seattle before this happened. I hope that Mike is back in Seattle by the end of next week. The Long Beach audience must've been thrilled.Member Number: 437xxx

He played about 20 seconds of it only and bailed on the song. Seemed to change his mind the minute he started it should not really be a "numbered" song0 -
Man what an amazing show. Great crowd too, show really kicked into high gear during Sometimes. Eddie's stage banter is great too, I had a feeling Mike would show up! It was electric during Yellow Ledbetter. The live versions of stuff from Ukulele Songs also made me warm up to some of the ones I wasn't previously into too, great night!0

What an amazing show...I am One, YLbetter, Falling Slowly.....great stuff!
Crowd was pretty well behaved....no fights broke out, and the loud drunks were just a small annoyance!
I got an extra Sniper playbill if anybody in the U.S wants it (too preoccupied right now to deal with customs forms right now).0 -

I got jipped! My pal with ticketmaster pre sale tix got 7th row while my nose was runny up in the lodge with 10c tickets!!
But anyway, the show was incredible. This will be my only Eddie show this year, but I had been to several on the last tour and this show by far tops it.
Long Beach is a much better place to watch a show than in the middle of Los Angeles. When PJ comes back to LA i truly hope they play at the Long Beach arena.I wish I was the 10Club holiday single, the one that never showed up...0 -
Saw Jill in the front just before Ed went onstage and then Mike walked across the floor to where she was. So we were hoping he would play a song.
The Who covers were really great. Porch and numerous songs had ALL the audience on there feet. Great crowd..Eddie looked like he appreciated the support..even he mentioned San Diego crowd was a little weak.
Eddie said he had heard someone was here, but had not seen him yet..then he introduced "His bandmate". Place went nuts when Mike came onstage and played Eddi'es white electric guitar for Yellow Ledbetter.
Can't wait till Wiltern on Friday. Off to bed.
No more playing cards or wave lighters..all gone.Post edited by PJammer4life onBridge Benefit 1994, San Francisco 1995, San Diego 1995 1 & 2, Missoula 1998, Los Angeles 2000, San Diego 2000, Eddie Vedder/Beck 2/26/2002, Santa Barbara 2003, Irvine 2003, San Diego 2003, Vancouver 2005, Gorge 2005, San Diego 2006, Los Angeles 2006 1 & 2, Santa Barbara 2006, Eddie Vedder 4/10/08, Eddie Vedder 4/12/08, Eddie Vedder 4/15/08, 7/12/2008, SF 8/28/09, LA 9/30/09, LA 10/1/09, LA 10/06/09, LA 10/07/09, San Diego 10/09/09, Eddie Vedder 7/6/2011, Eddie Vedder 7/8/2011, PJ20 9/3/2011, PJ20 9/4/2011, Vancouver 9/25/2011, San Diego 11/21/13, LA 11/24/13, Ohana 9/25/21, Ohana 9/26/21, Ohana 10/1/21, EV 2/17/22, LA Forum 5/6/22, LA Forum 5/7/22, EV 10/1/22, EV 9/30/230 -
Amazing show!! Setlist was awesome and the crowd was fantastic all show long, lots of energy tonight from everyone. McCready came in right before Ed started, and was sitting 4 rows in front of where I was (Row 8, right side isle) Ticketmaster seats, not TC. Noticed that he "disappeared" before Hard Sun was played and mentioned to my friend he was gone, fantastic to see Ledbetter played.. Just awesome all around!0
