Do you still put Metallica roadie on your resume or did you take them off because they were assholes and probably wouldn't give you a good recommendation?

My fathers cousin was Andy Warhols superstar in his films in the 70's. He graced the cover of The Smiths debut album and was mentioned in Lou Reed's "Walk on The Wild Side". He did some other film and tv work after that, but nothing major.
Oh, and my father punched out Paul Simon in High School!

I am distantly descended from David Rittenhouse, through my maternal grandmother - her maiden name is Rittenhouse. He was the first director of the US Mint, astronomer, mathematician, surveyor. Rittenhouse Square in Philadelphia is named for him.

My Granddad swears we're related to the Gibb brothers from the BeeGees. Apparently his (Gramp's) grandmother shared the same surname and came from the same area in England, so who knows? I will say that there does seem to be similarities within the way a lot of the guys in my family look, with the way the Gibbs look, so maybe.

I'm wondering who you're referring to, because coincidentally Metallica asked me to go on tour with them in 1999. ...and their tour production people are (or at my time were) a very close-knit group of guys (and a girl) and very very good to work with.

During the U.S. civil war Germans could apply for citizenship by joinging the North side. Some of my ancestors were drummers for the north to gain citenship. Drummers for the North. It sounds like a band name.

That's as famous as I go. . . as long as you don't count that very distant relative with the same last name who was recently indicted in a ponzi scheme (EEK!)

I'm not related to anyone famous. Although, my aunt is an interior decorator for a former Giants football player/announcer. He is like a son to her. He even attended my cousin's wedding. My aunt
once told my mother, that she has seen him brushing his teeth, while wearing nothing but his underwear. :o:D
