after Munk One destroyed our minds with Chicago one, this just looks like garbage. Seriously it looks like a 15 year old designed it. oh well, not one I will be buying ever
side note, congrats to Chris for getting his much needed shout out on I am Mine
NGL that poster is not that great, I guess it had a hard act to follow, the Chicago ones were just so magnificent.
Tonight's is ok, but you are right, those Chicago poster are my new favorites in my collection of PJ posters! Oh wait, Eddie shows are NOT pearl jam shows, so those posters don't count

Did you see the Columbus poster last year (it's still on-sale in GOODS, if you want to see how bad it is) with the Dinosaurs, Covered Wagons and Gnomes...
I went to this show and couldn't even consider buying it!!
This poster (St. Louis) ISN"T as bad as that (Columbus) one!!!!

Yikes. At least that dinosaur one could give a little bit of character to a kid's room or something. That wave tonight is just a cop out... I mean, seriously, how long could it possibly take any artist to come up with that? 30 seconds? 40 seconds? Simple little lettering and a couple lines and a poof where the wave crashed. Boom. Poster done.
Somebody forgot about commissioning a poster for St Louis, me thinks... and this is what they got with a one day design and print notice.
At least it sounds like they got a killer fucking show so who gives a shit about the 30 second poster???!!!

Kids room is EXACTLY what I thought when I saw it..
I thought someone pulled a page out of a kid's coloring book and made a PJ Poster out of it
Now I just need a PJ Fridge Magnet to hang it up on the refrigerator door!!! :ugeek:

I think this sums up what most people are thinking ....
thank god i told my girlfriend i would stop buying posters for a while ...the posters this tour have been horrible .. im shocked Ed even gave the green light on most of them ....
i say they let US ...THE FANS draw some prints ... i would love to get the chance to draw one ....i have drawn tattoos, the half court artwork in my high school gym back in the day .artwork for my year book..etc etc ...
HOW AWESOME WOULD IT BE TO DRAW THE POSTER FOR PJ20 ........................................................
I was expecting sooooooooooo much more, but honestly it is not that bad in person. I think I like it because the album was conceived/written in Hawaii and it has that surfboard (obviously since the dude makes surfboards) feel to it...I guess :? But if you look at some of his other designs - http://www.mauilongboards.com/JohnGlomb.html - I think the poster could have been so much better. I agree with the person who said they think he forgot until the last minute...I think this surfboard design proves that - http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=203167481148&set=a.191956641148.128836.191821031148&type=1&theater
At least everytime I look at it I can be reminded of how killer the night was and how great Eddie's storytelling was...Eddie was in TOP form!!!!
1992 - Lollapalooza - St. Louis 1994 - St. Louis 1998 - St. Louis 2000 - St. Louis 2003 - St. Louis 2007 - Lollapalooza - Chicago 2008 - Eddie Vedder Solo - Chicago 2010 - St. Louis 2011 - Eddie Vedder Solo - St. Louis 2014 - St. Louis 2016 - New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival

man, did you really have to post a picture of columbus 2010?? i will never be the same after having columbus AND that st louis atrocity in my head simultaneously!! however, columbus is much better than the crappy 2nd grade art that was st louis.

From looking at your links how cool would it have been if he had of produced the poster in the shape of a surfboard?? Now maybe that could have worked a bit better......maybe??!!

I totally thought that same thing...the surfboard shape would have been totally perfect! I just think the guy does not have any experience making posters. He makes killer surf boards though, so you can see he's got skillz. On a side note; I have been looking back and St. Louis has never really gotten a stellar poster...
1998 2003
2004 (I know...not really STl specific)
2010 (Has the most character and is by far my fav out of all of the St. Louis posters.)
