Does anyone else think there should be a 10C presale for members living in the area when the venue is?

I think this is a good strategy for our environment.

a lot of us carpool to the shows and some (maybe many) of us purchase carbon offsets when we travel to see the band
these are also good strategies for the environment

I ride my Segue cross country to all shows.

no, seriously, I think your intentions are good. Don't know how practable (sic?) as people are going to go if they're interested. But I get your point.
  • No,
Spread Pearl Jam around more :)

Less travel for fans. Also make a better chance for local fans to score tix.

no. then there are people who dont have a Local show. How confusing would it be to draw up the maps? Who says someone's home show is one place, but not somewhere else?

I personally work near Philly, but live near Buffalo. Im actually in Philly 85% of the time, and I am attending the Washington show as it is the only one(s) I can make.

  • well, we can have people travel hundreds of miles and empty their overflowing pockets for shows. We can fuck up our planet over the next 50 years. Sounds like a plan! With so many bands filling stadiums popping up and the exponential increase of population...

You work near Philadephia, PA but live near Buffalo NY? That's a 6 hour drive according to Mapquest.

A lot of "die hards" will buy TM tix and drive anyway.

So... yes maybe a little greener... but not much. Especially since 10c only gets 10% of venue.

You only go home 2 weekends a month? Do you rent or have a mortgage? And what do you do for a living anyway? Not to be nosy, but I'm curious with that schedule.

hey, at least you get to attend a show. For some of us, Ed is not coming any where near where we live, so if people like me really want to go to a show that bad, they will......................TRAVEL

If you are only going to one show for the sake of being green...why not take public transportation??

I did that for the 05 tour. I flew to Toronto...then bussed it to Kitchener, London, Hamilton and back to Toronto... then took a train to Montreal, Ottawa, and then back to NY!

It was quite easy! Not as green as sitting home... but I really love to travel... and really dig Pearl Jam. :)

i share the same concern, that is why i ride my bike 90% of the time and drive 55 on the highway.
going to see pj once every other year has minimal effect on my part.

In Buffalo i live in a house my father owns (where other friends live too) and I do not pay rent.

My company will pay for (or give me money to pay for) a rental down here in South Jersey. Plus I get my travel to and from home covered.

We are an environmental company and we are in a long-term project in South Jersey cleaning out radioactive material from the soil.

I was just using it as an example that some 'home cities' are complicated and would cause 10club horrible stress.
