E.V.10c Tickets Not So Good?

By the looks of fans posting seat locations 10c tickets have been average at best I know it's random locations but not sure if belonging to a fan club should get you balcony seats.

That blows. Got my hartford tickets 5 hours before show time and had seventh row LOL.

    Ya know ...

    Wow ...

I couldn't get tickets through the ten club, though was lucky to get um' via ticketmaster for night 1 and then a solo ticket for night 2 - another huge thanks for the ticket by the way! I am thankful I got to go, period.

In these small venues or any venue for the fact of the matter we are lucky they presale tickets - geez - can't ya just be glad you were there? There are those who weren't so fortunate, so consider yourself lucky to have gone.
Appreciation makes a huge difference ...

I would agree with this. I've been a member since 03 and we were gratefully in the balcony at Hartford. There's plenty that didn't even get in to the show or any of the EV shows for that matter. These venues are small and you can hear just fine. It is told ahead of time that the tickets are random (right on the 10club email), so it shouldn't be a surprise.

  • I was in the loge for beacon, second row and those tickets were amazing. Thank you 10club.

there's not a bad seat in these tiny venues. i have a pretty damn good 10c number and i was row 4 balcony center. turned out these seats were sweet. the guy i split my tickets with had a much higher number than me and was first row loge last night.

    how was the shows?
"...Dimitri...He talks to me...'.."The Ghost of Greece..".
    "..That's One Happy Fuckin Ghost.."
“..That came up on the Pillow Case...This is for the Greek, With Our Apologies.....”
  • At the beacon and I'd assume most theaters, the seats on the floor go back underneath and past the balcony....So first row in the balcony or loge is a way better seat than back on the floor....

Just sayin'. the 10club know what they're doing with seats. (most of the time)

YOU SHOULD NOT BE IN THE BALCONY WITH TEN CLUBS TICKERS LOL. WHAT A JOKE.
  • opsopcopolisopsopcopolis Posts: 1,206
why not? We were specifically told before the pre-sale that the tickets would be in random places throughout the venue. Honestly most people would probably rather be in the front of the balcony than the last row of the orchestra. I know I would

I had right center orchestra row T for the Boston show and the seats were pretty good and my Ten Club number is in the mid 300,000 so I wasn't complaining. The sound was great and so was the show. I do see why people might complain about the balcony though because even though its random balcony isn't the greatest. I had better seats the first 2 shows in Boston at the Opera House via Ten Club but either way I was happy with the show and being in the building.

While I expected to be closer, I was fine being in the front of loge for exactly these reasons. Especially considering the 10C tix cost less than the TM tix.

I hate the back of the orch when there is a loge overhead. The sound does not carry well at all.

d, we're discussing where the tickets are, not the show. read about the show in the fanviews.

my buddy for night one had non-10c tickets and was literally the last row in the place, upper balcony. there were unfortunately people with 10 C tickets sitting right next to him. very very weird seat allocations so i guess random really does mean random. those tickets I can't defend but my buddy did say last row was really awesome seats as it's such a small theatre.

wow, I had a pair of front row balcony seats for Detroit and I sold them to someone here assuming that 10C seats would be better. should've hung on to them.

  • I don't really care where my tix are here in Portland. Having been to the venue several times, there isn't a bad seat in the house. This concert sold out quickly and being a member guaranteed a couple of seats for me. Considering the email made it very clear that the seats would be RANDOM, I don't get the complaining. Now, shitty 10C tix for a PJ show, when the expectation is the best seats are reserved for us...that's a different topic altogether.

I guess it's all about perspective. Go got in the building. You saw a great show. You WEREN'T sold fake tickets/scammed and standing outside the venue with your johnson in your hand.

Don't know why people are so defensive, there is a difference between commenting and complaining, I don't think anyone is necessarily complaining, they just didn't expect it. My friend was in the lower balcony last night. I've been to a show every EV solo tour and never got worse than row J-ish. It's natural to be surprised when there's a change that drastic.

I would agree with this post. Having seen all EV tours since 08 (except OZ) east coast, west coast and HI, seems as thou the seats for this tour are not as good as pevious tours. Having said that all seats are good and a cant wait for the west coast swing.

I can see where it might be a let down when you're dreaming on getting amazing seats. However, given the size of the venue and the fact that it's an acoustic/seated show, even balcony and loge are pretty solid.

But it does help to be prepared ...
makes it easier to find the bright side.

Thanks for this thread and those that posted their seats.

People have been getting balcony at every show. It's just the way it has been on this tour. I am going to prepare for the worst and hope for the best. I'm honestly just happy to be going tomorrow night.

You almost have to make a disclaimer when you post lest the usual people get on you so YES the show was awesome, I was lucky to be there and yes I know it was random etc. etc.

Hartford was the first time I had less than stellar 10C seats, but since everyone goes on about how there are NO bad seats in the house I didn't care, but let's be honest... Mezz, Balcony, last row is def. not the same show experience as being in closer seats, I still had a great time, see above, but the sound wasn't great where I was, missed a lot of what Ed said when he was talking, couldn't see Ed very well so missed some of the emotions etc. It's just a different show experience where you have to really focus because there are more distractions and you don't feel as "in" it.

Again not complaining God forbid, just my opinion from having experienced great seats at an Ed show and close to last row if it's allowed.

I've had a similar case but at a PJ show. I'm surprised they even took them to sell to the members to be honest. We are at the mercy of the ticket Gods and we just have to move on and hope for the best next time.

I did not have 10c seats (lucked out on TM because I have mad skilz  ) but in terms of seat location, I would probably have preferred front row balcony over the orchestra seats I had for night 1. I was all the way on the right in Row J, which is really 2nd row on the right but not quite close to the stage because there's space by the exit door. Man, the number of people meandering back and forth in front of me was astounding. I found it so hard to concentrate on the show!! I still had a good time but I had loge seats night 2 and it felt so much better even though i was further away.

In terms of 10C seats I suppose they really were random. I heard some people behind me who had 10C seats.

With all that said, I'm just so thankful I was in the building!
