Though Jon Stewart was, for a time, an MTV employee in the 1990s, we never figured him for a flannel-flying grunge-rock fan. Our misconceptions notwithstanding, Mr. Stewart, the “Daily Show” host and comedy pundit, will host a Q. and A. session with the surviving members of Nirvana to be broadcast on SiriusXM satellite radio and timed to the 20th anniversary of that band’s best-selling album “Nevermind.”
SiriusXM said on Thursday that the musicians Krist Novoselic and Dave Grohl as well as the “Nevermind” producer Butch Vig will participate in the two-hour program with Mr. Stewart, which will be broadcast live on Sept. 24 at 8 p.m. on SiriusXM Channel 34 (a channel also known fittingly as Lithium). The discussion will field questions from callers as well as members of a live studio audience at SiriusXM’s studios in New York. SiriusXM said it plans to choose the audience members for this event via an online contest, though it might want to keep a watch out for this woman.Shows: 6.27.08 Hartford, CT/5.15.10 Hartford, CT/6.18.2011 Hartford, CT (EV Solo)/10.19.13 Brooklyn/10.25.13 Hartford

heres a little story i read recently in regards to the 1992 tour of australia.
ken west* had soemthing that was burning a hole in his pocket for over a decade. it was a vdeocassette that featured the nirvana set at the 1992 big day out, shot from the sound desk. he never told anyone he had it. the foo fighters played BDO in 2003, and at the end of the last date, west worked up the courage to hand the video to dave grohl. he was still worried about what he would make of it so many years later
west wasnt there when grohl slipped the tape into a machine and pressed play, but afterwards someone from the touring party told him that grohl had cried while watching younger verisons of himself, novoselic and cobain ripping through their set and then trashing their instruments
"was it a good cry or a bad cry?" west asked, concerned that he had done the wrong thing
the guy paused for a moment and then put him out of his misery.
it was a good cry
* ken west is a promoter.hear my name

I was looking at it last night and thought about pre-ordering it but decided to wait (Thur, September 22). I woke up this morning and decided to pre-order it, checked and it's no longer available. Doh!
Luckily, it's still available on Amazon Canada so I pre-ordered it from them.

The only thing is that I don't get the free super saver shipping like I normally do with Amazon US, but not a big deal. Well it's been about 8/10 years since I heard it last so I can't really do a comparison but yeah it sounds OK. I thought one song had the bass up to loud but other than that yeah. It was only £5 so I thought why not?0 -
$20 here, I haven't bought it yet.
Is it worth it? Is the sound that much better that it justifies a purchase?Adelaide 17/11/2009, Melbourne 20/11/2009, Sydney 22/11/2009, Melbourne (Big Day Out Festival) 24/01/20140
