You should start going to therapy now because if you are now just getting into the music (which I'm not knocking, I think it's wonderful) the "poster sickness" is not far behind. Spend all your money on therapy & maybe you won't start collecting posters, it really is an obsession all it's own. I would suggest collecting Beanie Babies that represent each show rather than a poster, you can get them for like a nickel. Just a suggestion & welcome to the Jamily!!!
MSG I converted me and I now have a new band to add to my shortlist of faves. No other music is sounding good to me right now!
I had a similar experience when Avocado came out. Saw the band back in '94, loved 'em, but kinda lost track (no, I don't know how that happened). Got the album, went to a show in May of '06, and bam, I'm buyin' cd's, gettin' the dvd's, on message boards etc. Having posters framed. It's awesome.

Hm I can try to do this for you but living in NYC, I got no wheels, haven't been on a roadtrip in a couple years! And don't know when my next one will be, so can't promise anything...maybe it's a good subway album?
hahhha, i hear ya. I lived in nyc for a while myself, now chicago, so im use to the no wheels life style. But I will say there's something different about Binaural when driving... At least to me. But, even more important is the fact that you have to listen to it with good headphones! The album was a recording experiment using a technique called "Binaural". I won't get into it now, but trust me here, give no code plenty of well deserved time, then either get some wheels or breakout the headphones
Further back and forth a wave will break on me, today...
Maybe this is kind of funny, but I'm actually holding off on buying No Code and biurnal because 1) I can't stop listening to Yield anyway and 2) this process of digging into their back catalogue is so fun, and I wanna make it last. Nerd alert!
This is kind of Weird as I done a similiar thing but mine wasn't intentional and I had No Code, it started like this: A mate at work in the early 90's came in one morning and said hey did you see that band on Sky last night? It was Pearl Jam unplugged. I didn't see it initially but did the next night on repeat, that blew me away. Anyway I purchased TEN then of course V's followed as did Vitalogy. By then the UK was under a surge of what they then called Britpop and someone who I had followed in the music scene for a long, long time with The Jam got me really into that. That was Paul Weller and he along with Oasis, Ocean Colour Scene and others became a real interest but so did 60's Bands the Small Faces and The Who who's stuff I started buying to, they were BIG influences of Paul Weller, Oasis and OCS. In that process I kind of missed No Code(even though I brought it), and Yield. However it was as like a circle was forming as I went to the Who's Teenage Cancer Trust concert in 2000 at the RAH in London. Now guess who blew me away that night? It wasn't Paul Weller, It wasn't Noel Gallagher, It wasn't Stereophonics and it definately wasn't Bryan Adams lol. Yep you guessed it, indeed it was Eddie. Binaural was then brought and it was like fucking hell where the hell have they been, where did they go? I liked Binaural straight away even though I know some find it difficult but the one thing that I couldn't believe was how the hell did I miss No Code and Yield which I brought with it. As soon as I heard these Albums I loved them and still do today along with the fabulous Band that made them, as of course we all do.
"First of all, there’s the palpable camaraderie and good feeling you get from the entire band as they smile and nod at each other, and huddle together in various formations throughout the show --- They look like they really like each other. They look stoked!"

It's all state of mind
Don't sweat the small stuff and it's all small stuff
You think you hate it now, wait till you drive it...
Kids, you tried your best and you failed miserably. The lesson is, never try.
Or some other higher force:)
