Heard much about them.... Mostly good

Anyone like them here? Compare then to others?

I heard very folky? In an ocean colour scene way ?

I'm new to the FF party but I love everything I've heard. some of their tunes are reminiscent of My morning Jacket's slower tunes.

I LOVE them... Been listening to them fir a few years now. Their newest album (helplessness blues) is my favorite album to be released this year, thus far. They are a bit folky, but not in a shitty way (if that makes sense). Send me a PM, I'm sure I could find some links to all their albums.

Got into them a few months ago. I've only heard their first album, but also have their EP and most recent disc. I think they're really good...hope to give their other stuff a spin soon.

Fantastic live shows and stellar studio albums. IMO better than 99% of bands together today. And I listen to a ton of stuff.

They are one of my current obsessions.

Mykonos, Your Protector, Shrine/Argument are unbelievable.

yes, they are completely fabulously unbelievably awesome. when i got the first LP, i played it like every day for a month. the new one is just about exactly the same as good - which is to say wonderful. my favorite band that i've found out about in the last five years.

That sums it up nicely!! :) Just a fantastic, fantastic band. Debut album is stunning and the newest one, Helplessness Blues, I think is awesome. Also check out their Sun Giant EP- the song Mykonos on that one is pretty much perfection! I'd LOVE to see them live in the future!

  • So going to see this band next Tuesday. Not sure what to expect as far as the live experience is concerned but I'm pumped nonetheless. I think I'm going to pass on the drink and substitue the smoke, thinking that could enhance the experience...anyone else seen them live? Thoughts?

  • Awesome, awesome show last night. Man, these dudes can sing! Was very surprised how spot on they sound live in comparsion to their recorded music. Very tight show...this band is meant to play intimate theatres. Highly suggest checking them out if they play near you.
