While watching Imagine in Cornice again last night, and seeing some of the religious imagery (when Boom was playing the organ in the chapel), I wondered how many hard core pj fans attended church regularly.

I realize it has nothing to do with anything, but I wondered if I was in the minority.
I go to a Baptist Church in the South weekly - I'm White & I voted for Obama, so I figure I'm pretty odd anyway.

  • I go just about every week.
  • I go pretty much every week. Not only that, but I have a personal relationship with Jesus. God is the foundation of my life, PJ is my hobby. I consider myself very conservative, and I voted for Obama.
If you are looking for a great book that explains this whole Christian thing, I recommend "The Reason for God" by Timothy Keller. The way he lays out everything logically and passionately is amazing.
There's no need to say goodbye
  • I go to church everyday.

My thoughts are my prayers & my body is my temple. Nature is paradise.

It said "Life is nothing but a dream."
I've spent so many years in question
To find I'd known this all along.

Ahhhh. I'm kinda slow - I live on a dirt road, you know.

Yeah....Mr. Vedder seems cynical, but he also seems very spiritual. I actually dont care what he believes regarding God/Church/Christ.

I do care though, that he displays genuine passion, care & concern for the world & his fellow man.
Thats what leaves your mark on the world.

    Pray's Jebus! :)

I go to church every Christmas time, Easter time, Special Name Day's (I'm Greek Orthodox) or huge celebrations! As for Sunday service, I'll probably attend once every month, sometimes once every 2 month's at the most!

I do my prayer's every morning, lunch, supper & night! He know's above what I do, my job profession, times I can't be there Sunday. I work in the ceramic tile & marble/granite/slate business! I work hard for the money! And I work alot on the weekends. It's the best time cause not many trades people are on the job sites. That's where I come in and finish up the installation!
  • I drank from Eddie's wine bottle once and that is the closest thing I have ever had to communion... actually for me that probably is just like communion :p

I am more of a spiritual sort. :)

I usually go to the Christmas carol sing along at my gran's church on Christmas Eve. It is one evening out of my year and I spend it with my family. There is no sermon just singing and some readings.

Say, what PJ song/hymn will be sweet to play during Church service?

Like the Simpson's - In the garden of Eden cover!

keller's book is OK, but i think NT wright's 'simply christian' is better.

and they're basically both just moderizations of CS lewis' 'mere christianity' which comes highly recommended from this christian, liberal PJ fan...

Now seriously, I believe in human beings and the power we have to be kind and considerate. And I believe in the power of music.
