20 posters? I mean come on.... at the US PJ shows last year there was a limit of 2 per person - and I don't think you should even be allowed that... Every person I saw buying 2 said they were shirking the second on eBay or somewhere to help cover the cost of their tickets...
Like are these people just going into the venue to buy posters? Are they even PJ/Eddie fans? Cause buying 20 posters is absolutely fucking ridiculous. There should definitely be better control over the sale of these items... there are lots of people that would like to have one, and many that won't get it cause of people like this guy...
Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.

In a small venues there can't be many merchandise tables. If I remember correctly there was only one or two at the boston opera house in 2008. I don't understand how this can't be regulated. I mean, just put a ten club staff member at the table to watch over operations and problem solved.

yes, please!! If someone on here could be so nice to do that!?! It's Leannes/Dottles Birthday today and a poster from Eddie with her Birthdate would be just awesome!!
I got me a Sigg bottle last night. I think it is the same as previous tours, all white with the Kneival logo ($25). No wallets this time, I think everyone mentioned everything else. The playing cards were the never before seen merch item ($15). They also had Uke cd's ($15 I think) and the vinyl ($25), some Glen Hansard merch, his cd and the Once dvd.
I will be trying to score a couple on Saturday for people on the board. I hope people are not mad when I try to buy 4 or 5 for people on here who cant be at the show, but want one. I had someone from the board pick one from last night up for me. I will not be buying 20, and I will not be flipping them. Just spreading them out to feloow clubberes.

I believe they did have zippos. they were laying on the front of the merch table and I did not get close enough to get a good look. I could be wrong though so I defer to someone who actually saw up close

See, this is another problem.
I don't care who you're trying to score posters for.... I believe 1 per person, per show.
I collect the posters like so many other people on this board... However, I believe that the people that go to a show should have first dibs on these keepsakes, cause I can tell you the posters that I have from shows that I've been to mean so much more to me... and people at the show deserve to be able to purchase one if they so desire and anyone purchasing multiples (even to give to other board members for a fair price) limit that opportunity...
1 per person, per show. If you're a collector asking others to score you posters for your collection you should have to compete with every other collector when 10C puts them up for sale... I understand that your friends are just trying to be nice and help you out, but it's unfair to so many people at the show who should have first dibs, but can't score a print because you're not there, but you've got someone else buying one for you...
but hey, opinions are like assholes, everybody's got one.

10c mgmt wants posters to be somewhat elusive. they said so themselves. they said when they print too many, it hurts demand.
When flippers capitalize on this, don't fault them. It is part of the "deal".
I didn't realize Jack White was running the 10C now. Why sell the posters at the shows at all then? Let's just auction them all off on ebay so no one gets one for less than $250. That would make them VERY "elusive".
If I see someone buying 20 posters, I'll strongly consider "accidentally" spilling a beer on them.
Posters are a memento of the show you attended first, limited art prints second, and scalper paradise third. The shows could have a simple rule - limit of two posters DURING the show, if you want more, return after the show is over and go crazy. Then every fan in the house has a chance to get one, and Eddie can still make bank.
Also - the Jack White crack is silly. He runs his own studio and record company and records whatever he wants. If he wants to create original work and charge a lot for it, good for him if someone buys it. Are only collectors allowed to profit from artistic work... the artist can't make an extra buck?
Lame that they don't have any sleeves for the posters.... but expected.
Is it too much to ask for a full-blown Temple of the Dog set? Probably.
I lived in Providence for 3 years after college - of course Ed only comes after I move away. A friend was at the show and scored the tour shirt (surf board design) for himself and also told me about the cool license plate shirt. I asked him to pick up an XL for me if he could. He went between the opening act and Ed's set and XLs were already sold out. Bummer, but I shrugged it off. Now some dick hole is selling multiples on ebay for $80 a piece. I don't know why I continued to be surprised at this stuff. But it's so damn irritating. Get a job.
