My initial response to the album was kind of tepid. However, I had it on yesterday while I was sipping brews by a nice fire in my backyard...it is perfect chill out music. I love it now. :D

Howard really didn't bash the album as he really didn't listen to it. He just said the idea of a ukelele album is kind of nutty, and said he really likes Eddie and Pearl Jam. Tiny Tim use to come on Howard's show so he was partial to him with the ukelele and just felt nobody could play the ukelele like him. He didn't like Can't Keep but did like Dream a little dream. That's all he listened to. He felt it was just Eddie trying to show his weird. But Howard is almost 60 years old now so of course he didn't get it. He listens to Lady Ga Ga and Black Eyed Peas to try to show he's a hip guy, so he has zero credibility when it comes to new music anyway. The Uke album is kind of a crazy idea but I love it because maybe it does separate him from the now trend that pretty beach guys have with their whole acoustic record thing. It would have been easy for Eddie to release an acoustic pretty boy record with love songs, but he's going in his own direction, doing his own thing which I think Howard probably appreciates the spirit of.

Not to mention he is still bitter because Ed refuses to go on his show.

I used to love Stern, he was funny and edgy, now he is only on 3 times a week every other week. He is old and bitter now. If it was on Dancing with the Stars or American Idol, he would love it. Listen to Opie and Anthony instead. They are the best show on the radio.

Howard Stern's opinion was relevant from about 1987-1995. now who cares he's just a guy who cashed in and preaches to the choir now. be there done that howard.

Again... Your opinion, but I'd guess a man who holds court for up to 20 million people a day has some relevance in society?

I have 3 followers on Twitter. I have little relevance.

He is arguably the greatest DJ/talk radio host in the history of the medium.

He is also a huge PJ fan and posed the question "why isn't EV working out PJ music?".

Rent the movie Private Parts. Very funny and Howard tells great life stories.

He didn't like it because Ed doesn't let a fart on any of the tracks. He also didn't use any lyrics containing the words pussy, tit, cock, or cum. So of course Howard Stern isn't going to like it. Could care less what his review of anything is but the guy is a moron who has gotten massively rich off of white trash Americans.

    Next topic.

So he doesn't like it, big deal. He's a fan of pearl jam, obviously not sappy ukelele songs. Neither am I.

Into the wild was great but I don't care for this one at all. Give me some pearl jam.

Honestly.......Who the heck cares what Howard Stern thinks.

roughly 20 million people who listen to him daily

Exactly. And count me in as one of the 20 million regular listeners. I love listening to Howard and I love listening to Pearl Jam. We are all critics believe it or not. We just don't have the audience or fame Howard or Pearl Jam has to have our critique of something listened to.

You still trying to promote Opie and Anthony?? Howard's words can at least be revelant, as for O&A, no one gives a shit.

Howard Stern fans, by and large, are cultists who will defend any stupid thing Stern days as a matter of <gulp> principle. They're like Faygo-drinking Jugallos, just waiting for that moment of relevance so they can bask in it.

Sorry, folks, Howard Stern = Rush Limbaugh, a radio blowhard who found a niche and made millions pretending he actually believes the nonsense he spews. Like him or hate him, he does *everything* to line his pockets with advertiser money, and does a good job of it.
Is it too much to ask for a full-blown Temple of the Dog set? Probably.

Howard really didn't bash the album as he really didn't listen to it.

    That explains it then.

Is this thread about Howard? If it is, it should be in the Other (Artists) area I guess...and locked too since he didn't listen to the album which would make this more like Howard trolling without a membership. :D I'm sure there's a Howard forum somewhere.

Have a great week all. :)
