had the same problems as you with i tunes not reading the folders, but i got it sussed.

but what i want to know now is.. once i have my ipod synced again, can i delete the folder that i created to copy my ipod onto originally, as it takes up 100gb. because when i usually do my itunes my files for my music are on my external hdd, so when i go to add more music to my ipod, will the files already added still know that they originally are located from there.. if you get what i mean.

Good question.. I would hazard a guess at no 'cos that's the folder your ipod reads from... but I am not the bet person to ask!

its okay, i've sussed what i'm going to do, i've looked and looked, and your right that that is now the folder that itunes reads from, so i can't delete it, and i can't find a way to change the path of where itunes regognizes it, but on my pc a friend is overdue to install a secondary harddrive into my pc, so when he does that, i'm going to do all these steps again( i know it a pain, but wasn't that bad really) but this time create the folder onto the secondary hdd, and then delete the other one.
