He was so awesome that he covered up the fact that Kiedis' lyric were complete jibberish that consisted of a lot of rhyming with state names.
his lyrics are kind of always like that, but whatever, i still like them.
I think they sound great and I find myself singing along ... but every once in a while I become cognitive of the lyrics and just have to start laughing at how nonsensical they are.
yeah, I like them, too...it's kind of endearing. "Give it Away" still makes me laugh every time I hear it for some reason.
I don't see how they're gonna be that successful without the resident creative genius. I think the last 2 albums have been fantastic...Not a big fan of faux funk
well i thought it sounded really old but the title matches the title of the song they said is the first single....as I was hoping i guess some dickhead just put the title and the old song together
All I have to do is revel in the everyday....then do it again tomorrow

Damn Anthony looks creepy as f*ck in that Rolling Stone article.
He looks like he just left the set of a porno film.
after reading this in the RS article: "In fact, Flea likens the rich propulsive interplay on I'm With You – the mix of jamming exploration, textural guitar details and savvy hooks in songs such as "The Monarchy of Roses," "Factory of Faith" and "Goodbye Hooray" – to the classic Stones albums like Exile on Main Street and Tattoo You that he listened to religiously as the Chili Peppers wrote and improvised on new material in 2009 and 2010. "It's about a feeling and a song." Flea says of the connection, "about everyone embracing the moment of the song, not always about the riff."
....coupled with them having a new guitarist, I like to think Flea will be very prevalent on this next one.
very interesting comments and i echo most that think we will miss John. this will be a priority purchase and no hesitation to see them again on tour. these are my homeboys from so cal, man a social D and RHCP tour would be dynomite...

That song sounds like something from Parliament Funkadelic back around the late 70's. if that's the case I hope the rest of the album will follow suit.

Some of the comments say it's an old bside.
