Ah cools... Have 10club seats for Toronto shows, wasn't sure if there was gonna be rows of fans sitting during some stonkin' riffage!!!

You may stand during certain portions of the show correct but there are some other American Pearl Jam concert rules to follow. You can only applaud BETWEEN songs and under no circumstance should you sing a long (ruins the recording process for the bootlegs). Also, don't eat hotdogs with relish...freaks Stone out for some reason. If you need to use the restroom you may, but only during encore breaks (typically two per show) or during Evenflow. Don't bend anyone's poster. Don't grab for a tambourine thrown by Eddie if he specifically points to a fan it's supposed to go to. Try to buy two beers at a time to minimize trips to the concession stand during the show. If you are sitting in Ten Club seating remember the person in front of you (unless those are the lottery rows) have more seniority than you meaning your opinion means nothing. If a more senior member than you thinks the version of Alive from Saratoga Springs in 2000 is better than the current version being played...it is. Don't wear a Pearl Jam shirt to the concert since it has been deemed "uncool" unless a more senior member sitting in front of you is wearing one, then it's cool but only to you and everyone behind you. If you just follow these very simple rules you will have a very good time at the show. Enjoy.0 -

Is it an American thing, do other big bands have seats in front of stage?? Been to hundreds of gigs, big & small, never sat thru them... Each to their own I suppose...
NORTH American thing.....and really, people stand, dance, sing.....seats just give a designated space and divide up rows. Sure certain gigs, such as jazz...people sit. Or, older rock bands, people site. But your average gig, people are up on their feet dancing. The only reason I like seats is the personal space and the fact that I don't have to queue all day. I have a blast either way tho.

1. Nobody crowds into your personal space, jamming their boobs/armpits/elbows into you.
2. You can sit down between acts and rest your weary bones.
3. Have to use the restroom or get a libation? Go for it. Nobody will be in your spot when you return!
4. Seats provide sensible spacing for people's heads so shorter folks can usually find a viewing angle.
I'm not saying you should sit down during the show, but the options available with a seated spot are valuable.
speak for yourself, I like boobs jammed into me

Been to pretty much every venue in WI...Alpine Valley is incredible, I only saw PJ there once back in '03 and it's my favorite show out of the 6 times I've seen them so far...I was in the front row of the grass for that show...as long as you are close to the front on the grass the view is good...I've been in the front for every show I've been to other than Jimmy Buffet one year when we spent a little bit too much time in the parking lot. I was about half way up the hill, from there it was a too far up for me, so don't get there late or you won't like the view nearly as much.08-19-08 (Riverside Theater) Vedder(Solo) Milwaukee, WI
