Geez. People are getting pretty upset over flags. Listen guys and gals, when it was suggested that you bring a flag it's for pictures. You know, when you are roaming around the festival and you want to meet up with your friends from all over this planet, you can possibly take a picture with your flag to indicate that you've traveled pretty damn far to show your love. If you hit the preparty or whatever, collecting photos showing the flags helps illustrate how international the fan base is...That is all. No one is suggesting that people wave their flags during the show. Chill.

I sure as hell won't be waving a full size flag above my head during the show! Hell, I'll be watching the show! I was thinking to get a little one to wave during Liam's set but emphasis on a LITTLE one!

Chicago 2003 my buddy and I were enjoying the show. Then sometime during the show some people down the ways from us passed out this huge flag/banner that said, ''Play Dirty Frank''. This thing was huge and we had to help hold it for the rest of the song going on and halfway threw the next. After that we both dropped it and enjoyed the rest of the show. This thread made me remember that just now for some reason. lol

I don't understand the whole flag thing. During a concert it just screams "Notice me, Ed! Notice me! Same with the "I've been to _______ shows" signs. I think you can be a huge PJ fan without needing the band to notice you.

I think the OP just meant to bring flags to the festival for pictures and stuff, not to wave throughout the entire show. It is pretty cool to see all the different flags at festivals, and at this one I have a feeling there's gonna be a ton of people from all over the world coming, so it'll be interesting to see.
I'm just looking forward to hearing all of the cool accents.

we are fans too,,,we dont want to rule the show for the other fans..we want to see and take fotos with people traveling for pj20 from all over the world ..is a world wide party!!!

There are certain factions within the European fanbase that hold theyre flags up blocking everyones view throughout the whoooooooole gig. Italians and Portugese are big culprits. Portugese moreso I think?
Might not sound like a big deal til it happens and you cant see the gig you've paid all that money and travelled all that way for.
