As expected beautifully presented sets, love DSOTM and The Wall covers.
I'm not a collector, have their catalogue on CD,so good enough for me but grew up listening to them on vinyl and it is great to see the beauty of the gatefold sleeve and art work again.
My brother is a collector,he plans to buy them all, despite probably already having at least 3/4 copies of each release over their career.
Beautiful collection for those that can afford ... I doubt the prices will come down though for those waiting

I bought the "Discovery" box to replace my scattershot Floyd collection after hearing how good the remasters sounded. I haven't splurged for the DSOTM Immersion set yet, especially after hearing endless tales of how the shitty packaging damages the discs inside.

Hubby and I were listening to the demos of the Wall last night - wow it was so different. You can tell why David and Rick weren't fans of the final product - they cut out most of their guitar and keyboard work! One of the songs ended up on Pros & Cons of Hitchhiking and another one was sent to the Final Cut. All in all, a cool listen!

Never knew Gilmour and Wright had an issue with the album, other than the making.
It's hard to judge fairly, but I think they made the right call with the way the album turned out. I think there's a certain raw quality to a few of the songs on the rough cuts that would give it a bit more of a "human touch" and tied it a little more to some of their earlier albums. I'm sorta surprised that my favorites of the demos were ABItW Part 2 and Comfortably Numb(The Doctor as it's called). Such classic songs I would've thought maybe any change would destroy the songs. I found myself imagining those demos combined with what actually made the album. Pretty neat stuff all around. Crazy how different some of the stuff.
This might not be the proper thread for this but oh well...
Last night on Vh1 they had a new documentary about Wish You Were Here - Shine On You Crazy Diamond is probably my fave PF song of all time, and I never noticed that at the very end Rick Wright includes a small tribute to Syd - if you listen closely, you can hear a bit of See Emily Play. So cool!!!! I've probably listened to it like 10 times today

thx for the heads up on this- my order arrived today. it was 62.99 when i ordered, but is still available at 69.99, which seems a reasonable price. i hope wywh and the wall eventually get such sales because there's no way i will pay twice this much.

live shows from the era aren't always as subtle with that part. i always look forward to that part in the song- it's a nice way to end it.

Finally got the remaster the other day. Echoes is out of this world.

Heard bad things about DSOTM, which surprised the hell out of me. The 30th anniversary version is flatout amazing.
Dying to get my hands on this... but I asked for it for Christmas, so I probably shouldn't buy it.
 I thought the new DSOTM vinyl sounded fantastic.

The records sound great and the packaging for them are excellent. The record sleeves could have been anti static but hey
I'm surprised the boxsets didn't include the record.
I wish they actually did all the albums.
