...however, after seeing Pink Floyd & Roger Waters in the O2 a few weeks ago, my Dad & I have reached a deal that he'll by DSOTM if I buy WYWH and we'll split the cost of The Wall
Got a strong feeling the 2 "TBD" discs of The Wall boxset will be DVD or BluRay of the 1980 Earl's Court concerts, which Roger has been working on for quite a while now. If it's not them, then it's a major con, as they'll be released some day, so it should really be now, with these box sets, instead of ANOTHER "Oh, here's some MORE new stuff you don't own, packaged with the stuff you already do..."
I really don't know why I'm griping. I love Pink Floyd, the design of the box sets looks incredible, the remastered versions will be well worth it... I guess I'm just so used to EMI milking acts without them being involved, but it really seems like the members of the band (or people on their behalf) have put some effort into this.
Sammi: Wanna just break up?
I know of 1 other box set of all the albums, but I won't bother with buying that.
It's the unreleased stuff which is enticing. It may be out there on bootlegs or something, but I've never heard it.
Anyway it's hardly unusual practice nowadays, even PJ are at it!

i aleady got the DSOTM box in the mail which is cool because i don't think they are supposed to be out until november.
Dunno about Canada but the DSOTM immersion box set is out now in the UK and WYWH box set is released in November. You can buy the basic remastered versions of all the albums now.
The DSOTM box was totally worth it. The live album is pretty kick-ass, decent sound quality. But I really dig that original mix from '72. Have you heard the 5.1 blu-ray/dvd version yet?
i probably just saw the november date for WYWH and just assumed they both came out then.
i really haven't had time to sit down and properly listen to everything. i've listen to the original mix album and thats it. the laughs in brain damage are creepy as hell.

It is. Really sweet packaging, although I've returned mine for a replacement already as I find a gash and other marking on Side A right out of the plastic, so word of advice, don't leave this sitting on your shelves sealed for years and years before you decide to inspect it.

I read a couple reviews on Amazon that said the same kind of thing. That sucks. Luckily mine was nice and pretty when I got it.
Are they going to release these vinyls for every album, or are they just doing Dark Side, Wish You Were Here, and The Wall? Or have they just not announced the rest of them yet?

Haven't read anything about additional vinyl, but I'm betting if sales go well for the first three, we'll see more. If not, anyone got a clean copy of Animals they want to sell me?
