The reference to Obama voters and kool-aid is interesting when you look at the people who say it. Kool-aid drinking implies cult-like followers who don't think for themselves and make their own decisions about things. I would say Obama voters were excited for a possible historic event and hopeful that he could change the situation of the economy being in the crapper. I think his current approval rating doesn't reflect a cult-like following.

The ones who use the term in reference to Obama largely listen to conservative news and watch Fox news. I see a lot of Fox News watchers follow what is said on that channel without question. I can watch the channel for a few times in as many days, and almost 100% guarantee that I will hear a conservative state something that is almost word for word what was said on one of the shows within two weeks.

So Godfather, keep up with the Kool-Aid reference while you post links to Fox News, but we all know who drinks from the giant smiley face pitcher.

This is an example of how your black and white thinking puts you in a bind. My comments were about Fox news followers, not the credibility of fox news itself. Also, nowhere in my post did I say anthing supporting Obama. My point was that a lot of people who watch Fox News are cult-like in there response and then say anyone who voted for Obama is drinking the kool-aid. Just like you're saying that now I'm drinking the kool-aid.

You're polarizing thinking says that I must be in love with Obama since I disagree with you and your news outlet. Didn't you post something tongue-in-cheek about there not being anything but two extreme sides in AMT? This is a good example of you encouraging that environment. (please don't respond with a bunch of question marks and confused faced smilies)

  • i personally believe that trump was somehow compensated to bring this back up,
that this move was deliberate and encouraged by (originated from within the) administration in an effort to show Obama's dignified diplomacy ... to illustrate via an idiotic media would-be "scandal" to the masses that "we have better things to focus on" ... to attempt shift energies in the public generally away from negative \ destructive outlets that are based on criticism to an attitude\paradigm based on cooperation and a "coming together" to overcome political obstacles. I think squashing this (arguably true, arguably false) birth certificate story was probably more of a bonus to TPTB. I truly think this was a gentle way of reminding America that there are more important things to focus on. Trump also did a half decent job of lowering American opinion of the Republican party once again. Thats another bonus.

Now what is this birth certificate issue we're talking about?
    ;)
If I was to smile and I held out my hand
If I opened it now would you not understand?

Without having to read through this entire thread, all I have to say is the next presidents (all of them) have to publicly produce their birth certificate and educational records for all to see. Palin, Romney, even the next Democratic nominee black, white, man, or woman. All will have to hold a press conference upon election and publicly prove that they are a citizen and that they are educated enough to be president. Is that being unreasonable?
