    Of The Girl is good.

Where's a list of songs and credits? their homepage only lists the composer, not lyricist. It was always my understanding that these words were Ed's. Same with others that are mentioned in this thread. When Ed says something like "Jeff wrote this song" I'm pretty sure he's talking about the music...not the words. Except for Other Side, obviously.

you're wrong, the album's liner notes credits the composer and lyricist, and on Binaural below the NAIS lyrics it just says Ament, so Jeff wrote both

since No Code the other band members have brought in some songs complete with lyrics (then they credits for the lyrics), or with parts of the lyrics done (which gives them co-write credits)...
Here's a list of most of em:

STONE: Mankind, Dont Gimme No Lip, No Way, All Those Yesterdays (query this one), Thin Air, Of The Girl, Rival, Fatal, Strangest Tribe, All Or None, Bushleaguer (co-write: Stone wrote the "blackout weaves lines")

JEFF: Pilate, Low Light, NAIS, Otherside, God's Dice, Ghost, Help Help, Sweet Lew

MATT: Get Right, In The Moonlight, You Are (co-write)

MIKE: Inside Job, Let Me Sleep

    JACK: Whale Song

there are other songs that members have written music for, but this list is Lyrics writers

It's gotta be either Inside Job or Of the Girl. It's a toss up for me but, these two songs rank up there with any PJ song. IMO.

But what's your source? That just doesn't look accurate to me. Of course, I could be wrong...

I'll bet anyone on here $50 that Stone did NOT write the words to Parachutes. Any takers?

ahh, the album credits. like the other guy said. and the liner notes. and interviews, and concert chit-chat.

...you dont have to believe me if you dont want to!!

It's not that I don't believe you or don't want to believe you....I just wanted to know the sources. All of my studio albums are in boxes somewhere...one disadvantage of the iPod...and I can't find anything online with credits for lyrics.

:) all cool, i didnt have my avocado around so wasnt sure about Parachutes, well spotted...but the rest im fairly sure are right. its interestin to see the songs each guy wrote aint it? if u compare stones songs with Bayleaf for example, or Matts with wellwater songs, they kinda make more sense than they did before.
