Dawes has quickly become one of my very favorite bands. Their music seriously leaves me in awe. Taylor Goldsmith is one of the finest lyricists of this day. 'A Little Bit of Everything,' IMO, is one of the best songs ever written, period. Some of their lyrics I will tear up just simply looking at. And "All Your Favorite Bands" is one of my favorite albums of this year!

Plus, boy do they rock live! I've seen them 3 times now, and they put on such a high energy, fun show. It was pretty cool seeing them on Friday night. They were part of a radio benefit show, and it was so neat to see them slowly win over the crowd...got a standing ovation at the end.

I can't say enough good things about them. I've been obsessed with them lately.

yeah, gotta see them live. I didn't love their albums at first...saw them live and it totally changed my opinion. Adding Duane Betts takes them to another level. They're really good

awesome album earlier this year. i had a chance to see them play in a very small venue and they were great. can't wait for their next album. loved how their latest album was recorded on the floor, almost live. sounds awesome like that.

I loved North Hills. I think they've gotten worse with every album since. Some of their lyrics are good, some are downright awful.
I've seen them live twice. Pretty good show.

I talked to Taylor for a few minutes in Mexico (one big holiday) and he seems like a pretty cool guy (I didn't know who he was initially and then he said he was in a band and it clicked). He told me when they were doing their sound check and I got to watch it which was also neat.
