The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

I think a big part of the music experience from the 80's was MTV. We all sat and watched videos non-stop and because of that we listened to all kinds of music. I was a metal head back then, I remember when Metallica's first album came out, I just heard today on the radio that Dio's Holy Diver came out 28 years ago, and I remember that.
Now my sons (age 16, almost 15, and 10) have found all my old music and are listening to it, we watch the old videos on VH1. They have commented that the 80's was the best decade. They also enjoy a lot of the movies from the 80's too.
I saw Rush in concert last month, they played the album Moving Pictures and it was just like being in 1981 again, the music is burned into my brain.
Anyone mention Rock Me Amadeus? It cracked me up when they repeatedly played it in the movie "Adventureland"

I LOVE 80's!!!
Although I was born that decade, I didn't really "feel" it because I was too young to enjoy.. :( Now I just try to get the feeling by going to 80's parties!

sorry got a little carried away
I even enjoy the obviously cheesy ones (for example Erasure)
Guilty pleasure or not. I do not care.
Depeche Mode, Eurythmics, B52s, A-Ha, Michael Jackson...
And I could add plenty more.
If I knew where it was I would take you there.
